This is a very ambitious collection of world music in the truest sense of the word. The two producers traveled all over, from India, Africa, New Zealand, Europe & the USA to bring together a multitude of talented artists. Great harmony & rhythm flow throughout the entire disk. The western artists that we are familiar with are Michael Stipe, Neneh Cherry, Brian Eno & Grant Lee Phillips. This CD shines like a jewel in the cesspool which is American "pop" music. Each track is well crafted and entertaining. This really did not surprise me since I found out that Faithless band members were involved. I bought 1 Giant Leap after I saw the video on MTV (Yeah, an interesting video on MTV about politics, society and stuff. Maybe it will start a trend?) The first 3 tracks alone are well worth the price of the entire CD.Free Music Review: Recommend this CD - GREAT MUSIC!!!!

I have had some of the songs on this CD and loved them. The sound is fantastic! It was very difficult to get for a long time. This one came all the way across the pond and the shipper was quick and the product was factory sealed. Very happy. 1 Giant Leap has a new release now and I highly recommend this group for their "world music" endeavors and great spirit behind the music. Get 1 Giant Leap when you can! It's been a very long time since I was this bowled over by an album. Like the first featured reviewer, I am in love. I just don't understand why I didn't know about this. I've had a different version of the song "Braided Hair" on a compilation CD for years, and liked it so I finally sought out the album it originally came from.
