Free Music Review: Nice Follow up to debut album!

A few months ago, I actually had the pleasure of hearing 12 Stones live at Big Spring Jam and they put on a pretty good show. The sound of the stage they were playing on was not very good, but they did the best they could with the equipment they had. But anyways, on to the album review. Potter's Field is a nice album, although I tend to like their debut album better. The songs from the first album have a deeper, more Christian meaning than the songs on the second album. The music however, on the second album is fantastic, and it is a more "musical album".
1. Shadows: An okay opener, although I would have prefered Far Away as the first track. Like in my review for the first album, I like songs that start of with a bang. But Shadows isn't bad. I like it when Paul repeats "Find away to get inside me" at the end of the song. 9/10
2. The Last Song: A slower song that would have fit in very well at the end of the first album. A classic 12 Stones sound. 10/10
3. Far Away: The best song on album. Aaron rocks on the drums. I love the ending of the song. This was the first single and the video is awesome. Paul needs to shave his beard off though. 10/10
4. Speak Your Mind: Great guitar playing as usually seen with 12 Stones. Nice interlude as well. 9/10
5. Lifeless: Great music, lyrics, and Paul growling. That's a triple threat right there and makes a good song. 10/10
6. Bitter: An edgier, darker 12 Stones song. 10/10
7. Photograph: The second single. The video is available right now on 12 Stones.com. This song is also on the Elektra soundtrack. The intro to this song sounds really strange, like something from the 60s or something, but then it kicks in heavy and sounds good. 10/10
8. 3 Leaf Loser: Cool intro, with Aaron banging on the rims of his drums. Nice guitar outro. 9/10
9. Stay: My second favorite song on the album. Slow, but a really nice song. I like how at the end of the song Paul does the chorus in a deep voice before returning to his normal voice to do the chorus again. Awesome! 10/10
10. Waiting for Yesterday: I like the title of this song, as well as the song itself. This is another song that would have fit on the first album. Paul really, really sings in this one, holding out notes and such. 10/10
11. In Closing: As the title suggests it closes off the album, although the Last Song could have done so as well. Nice ending. The chorus is really cool. 9/10.
