Free Music Notes for Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.Free Music Review: A Great Mind At Its Early Stages Hit: 4 StarsTupac was truly a troubled soul who never failed to contradict himself, which only is testament to his brilliance. He had the ability to speak whatever he was feelin' at that particular moment and this album is no exception. It was released during a critical time in hip-hop, where activists tried to censor and ban the genre, but Tupac - along with others - helped prove that the problem is not within the music but with society itself.
Politically minded, Pac breathes excellence on "Point Da Finga." He addresses the crooked ways of the media, police brutality and the injustices that go on within our country. The interludes all provide social/political commentary that should be taken at face value. "The Streetz R Death Row" illustrates the hell inner-city kids go through. They grow up with no hope, with no upward mobility and in broken families, as "Papa'z Song" can attest to. It's almost like they are destined to fail since coming out of the womb. "Souljah's Revenge" also adds to the quality of the record and the title track is as classic as they come!
We all recognize the three classic singles from this album. "Keep Ya Head Up," his special ode to the women out there who have been underappreciated. Pac let's you know that you are somebody and that you are strong. "I Get Around," is a classic party track which features Shock G and Money B from Digital Underground. And "Holla If Ya Hear Me," it's not only one of his best songs but one of the greatest hip-hop tracks ever recorded. A beat that's ready to start a riot while Tupac is ready to incite and lead a revolution.
There's a lot of quality the rest of the way and aside from the underwhelming possee cut that included West Coast phenoms, Ice Cube and Ice-T, there's nothin' much that you can complain about other than some of the production soundin' a bit dated.
With the blockbuster that was "All Eyez On Me" along with all the albums released after his death, this album remains to be slept-on amongst his catalogue. It's time to wake up and go cop it! Support quality.

Free Music Review: An album you wont regret buying Hit: 5 StarsThis album is an answer to 2pacalypse now. after making that album vice president at the time said that this album has no place in our society. 2pac embraces this in the track "Pac's Theme". Here is where he makes less music on political issues compared 2 his first album. But nonetheless he does make great songs. My favorites are Keep Ya Head up, and Last Wordz feat Ice cube and Ice t. I reccomend buying this if your into old school, funky beat rap.
Free Music Review: Two Years After His Debut Relase, Tupac Strikes Gold Hit: 5 StarsTwo years after his debut album (2Pacalypse Now) Tupac dropped his sophomore effort, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., in February of '93. Although lacking some of the shine he had on his first effort, often the case among rappers, 2Pac had produced another classic. Sadly, this would be his last album in which is he would touch political issues on such a deep level.
A more hear-felt production than his first, Shakur wastes no time in pouring his blood, sweat, and tears into the album. On "Holler If Ya Hear Me", the disc's first track, 2Pac calls all black youth to step up and fight back against its opposition. Meanwhile, tracks like "Keep Ya Head Up" - his tribute to women, often objectified by the hip hop industry - show 2Pac's softer, caring side. "Papa'z Song" is all about a young male wanting and finally finding his father later in life, but being filled with rage and resentment towrads him as opposed to love and happiness. Tracks like "I Get Around" catapulted 2Pac into the mainstream via radio while efforts like "Representin' 93" have no real meaning but are outstanding listens and great to look back on years later. "Last Wordz" features Ice Cube, no doubt a rapper who influend a young Tupac while pairing two very controversial MCs together, while "5 Deadly Venom", "Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.", and "Peep Game" all feature some prominant guest appearances. A great album that I would recomment to all rap fans. Another 2Pac Classic and a well deserved 5 stars.
My Top 5 Tracks:
1. Keep Ya Head Up
2. Representin' 93
3. Holler If Ya Hear Me
4. Papa'z Song
5. Last Wordz
Tracks I Just Wasn't Feelin':
I Get Around, Strugglin', Souljah's Revenge.
