Free Music Review: Strictly For The G.A.N.G.S.T.A Rap Fans
Hit: 5 Stars

An album full of hard beats, explicit lyrics and a man on the mic who has just about had enough of life and the way things are. Causing controversy left, right and centre after this release, Tupac Shakur was straight under the spotlight and was seen as one of the main representatives of the gangsta rap evolution that was overtaking the charts by not just himself, but fellow rappers Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dr Dre and the rest of Suge Knight's Death Row clique.

Although mainly an album full of frustration and restlessness heard on favoured tracks such as 'Holla If Ya Hear Me', 'Point Tha Finga' and the furious 'Last Wordz' (featuring Ice Cube and Ice T), Tupac does show his softer side on the inspiring and spirit lifting single release 'Keep Ya Head Up' and his comical sexual conquests on 'I Get Around', a great party track for 1993, but the violence returns on 'Streetz R Death Row' with lines like '... my homie lost his family and snapped / shot up half the block to bring him back...'. His final expression of anger is at his father on 'Papaz Song' a sad yet angry tale told by Tupac how his father left with him believing he's dead.

As explosive as this album may be, it remains as one of Tupac's best. Compare to his '2Pacalypse Now' debut, 'Strictly...' concentrates less on his political views and more on current issues involving the streets and the violence within them. A consistent album, which is hard to find these days, and makes this a worth while listen. This is Tupac at his rawest - 16 tracks of 100% pure gangsta rap.

Free Music Review: True Ghetto Acknowledgement
Hit: 4 Stars

Fulfilling much of the promise showcased on 2Pac's debut album a year earlier, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. offers a wealth of thoughtful moments such as "Keep Ya Head Up" yet still makes plenty of room for good-time celebrations such as "I Get Around." These two hits in particular make Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. a noteworthy, if sometimes overlooked, moment amid 2Pac's cluttered catalog. They also represent the two approaches 2Pac initially took with his music, emphasizing his thoughtfulness (another insightful highlight being "Papa'z Song") rather than the thuggishness so often associated with him, particularly in the wake of his death. A few notable West Coast rappers join the festivities here -- Ice Cube and Ice-T on "Last Wordz" and Digital Underground on "I Get Around" -- but 2Pac unfortunately doesn't have any notable producers to support him, as the quickly dated production stands as the album's only potential drawback. Not quite as remarkable as 2Pac's following two masterpieces, Me Against the World (1995) and All Eyez on Me (1996), Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. nonetheless merits acknowledgement, particularly in relation to the string of posthumously released Makaveli-era recordings littering his catalog.

Free Music Review: TUPAC IS SIMPLY THE BEST
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is the first CD I ever bought of Tupac. Then I later got 2pacalypse now. I can't imagine how anybody can't like him or any of his music. Same with Notorious B.I.G. He is the best of all time and will always be the best. Whoever says that any of the tupac cd's are bad just does not get rap music at all. R.I.P. 2pac 71-96

Free Music Review: The best OLD school rap album ever, forever
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is completly astonishing.

The best intro song to a album i heard, "Holler if you hear me" is what rap should be, not any odd rapper could flow to this song, Eminem has a fast rap speech, but i still couldnt see him doing any good behind this, and 50cent doenst come near, "Point a finger" is very good, the amaizingly structured rhymes go perfectly with the beat, love that song, Last words has a brilliant beat, i think cypress hill got influance from this one. "PEEP game" is a hhhheavvy track, the lyrics arnt that strong, it just sound amaizing when he first goes "Goody, goody, gundrops n**ga get your hoody....." keep your head up is one of the best songs ever made lol, but it doesnt suit the album, the rest of the album is fast paste, dissin and this one is slow and incurriging to gals, "I get around" is very very very good the tune. the rappin, digital underground, everything its just a amaizin track, "PAPAZ SONG" is a truelly stunning track, the lyrics are sad, true and quility, the last song i dont like, dunnoy 4.8/5 then :P. reccomend this 2 all
