Free Music Review: Pac Can't Stop Amaru From Wrecking Tracks

When Pac died, the first posthumous album put together by his mother's new record label, Amaru Records, released the double disc R U Still Down, remixing old Pac tracks from the early 90s that definitely needed remixing. On RUSD, Amaru did a commendable job.
Conversely, this album consisted of Pac tracks made in the Death Row days, when Pac's lyrics were trump tight and most of the beats were solid. Now nobody should pretend that the bootlegged versions of these tracks should be considered finished, but it's still disconcerting when the new remix beats are terribly inferior in comparison to the bootlegs.
And that's only the beginning of the problem. In a number of tracks, some of Pac's lyrics are censored for no discernible reason. In other tracks, hooks that Pac did himself were removed for crummy generic R&B type hooks (this was sadly the case for When Thugs Cry).
Pac is the greatest of all time, but a dead man can't stop people from tampering with his music. As always, his lyrics are fantastic, but diehards who would buy this album have likely heard the bootleg versions of these tracks already, and they'll certainly like those better.
Despite these problems, this album still debuted at #1 on the Billboard. That's the ultimate testament to the artist.

I'll admit this is far from what I listen to. Im a person that loves rock and metal. I hate the whole gangsta rap scene. 2 Pac is an artist however that just blows my mind. This is an amazing collection of his songs. Even if you arent the kind of person that listens to this kind of music, like I was, Pick this up anyway.Free Music Review: favorite of all time

i myself have bought four 2pac cds(BetterDayz, Greatest Hits, Resurection, Until The End of Time), and i have to say i love them all. I did'nt really get into 2pac as much as other rap artist, but the song trapped really turned me on to him. he has a flow that rivals the best such as jay-z, B.I.G., and nas. It's to bad he died otherwise i bet he would have a couple grammys and an oscar but if you are just gettin into 2pac i would consider buying until The End of TimeFree Music Review: my review

This is the 1st of a few 2pac after death cds. Untill the end of time is a cd made in 2pac Makaveli peroid so u will hear shots at Jay-z and Mobb Deep but Ballad Of a dead soilder was a great way to kick of tha cd Every Thing they owe is tight also a few songs are skippers like 3 but other than thats is good if u a pac fan u will enjoy this cd
