Free Music Notes for With Footnotes / In the Volume of the BookFree Music Review: Two Projects That Should Be In Any Christian Music Library Hit: 5 StarsOkay, I'm biased. God used the music of 2nd Chapter of Acts to get me to where the Holy Spirit revealed to me I was missing the mark, leading me to conversion. But 2nd Chapter of Acts is a group that is top quality, with great classical styled vocals and strong leads, especially from Annie Herring and Matthew Ward. (By the way, the 2nd Chapter of Acts is not a band per se, but a singing group. Only Annie added to the music with her piano.)
"With Footnotes" was their first project. This included "Easter Song", which is included in some hymnals today (and rightfully so). Their follow-up project, "In The Volume Of The Book" is considered by many to be their best project, and possibly one of the best Christian albums of all time. For their time, their music was progressive.
My favorite songs from these two projects are "Which Way The Wind Blows", "Goin' Home", "Love, Peace, Joy", "I Don't Want To Go Home", "Easter Song", "He Loves Me" (from "With Footnotes"), "Something Tells Me", "The Grey Song", "Now That I Belong To You", "Morning Comes When You Call", "Borrowed Time", "Last Day Of My Life", and "I Can't Get Near You."
Free Music Review: The most Powerful Christian 70s-style Rock Album of All Time! Wow! Hit: 5 StarsNo one can beat this. Or ever has. Soft, hard, heavy, melodic rock to sooth you soul. Unbelievable! Double album. (Yes, it's worth what they're asking.)
