Free Music Review: One of the Best Albums I Own
Hit: 5 Stars

3 Doors Down really knew what they were doing when they released this CD. Out of all the CD's I own, this one is up there in the top 5. Every song on this CD is worth listening to if you are open minded and just want to listen to some good music with great guitar riffs. The ones that far exceed my expectations are "Away From The Sun", "Here Without You", "Dangerous Game", "Changes", and "Sarah Yellin'".

I also recommend:
-3 Doors Down (Seventeen Days) It's not as good, but it's a fair effort that's worth a listen.
-Jack Johnson (In Between Dreams) It's a soft rock album, with an "I'm feelin good" feel
-Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory) Heavier Rock, but I like it A LOT.
-Matchbox 20 (ALL their Albums) MB20 is probably my favorite band out of the lot. I highly recommend this over anything.

Free Music Review: Away From The Sun and above the rest!
Hit: 5 Stars

It's hard to top an album that has the hit song "Kryptonite" to call it's own, but 3 Doors Down has done it with their second studio effort. "When I'm Gone" opens nicely, sampling the more melodic sound the band seems to lean toward on this album. The title track "Away From The Sun" is a soft song focusing on the troubles of life. "The Road I'm On" is a mid-tempo track that basically says, "Don't worry, we've all got problems. The catchy title may be the first good thing "Ticket To Heaven" have to offer, but it isn't the last. The track stays lively with creative lyrics and a powerful chorus. "Running Out of Days" is a song about just that, with it's fair share of everything 3DD has to offer. "Here Without You" is a soft tear-jerker about being without the person you love. "I Feel You" is a softer track about someone being the only good thing in your life. The worldwide problem of people killing other people is the subject of "Dangerous Game" with soft, thoughtful verses and a grinding chorus. "Changes" follows the same soft verse, hard chorus that 3DD seems to be getting good at by now, and talks about changing in a changing world. "Going Down In Flames" is a fast, harder track that opens with quick percussion, immediately followed by the grinding guitars that dominate this track. "Sarah Yellin'" is a killer grinding song centered around a girl's relationship with her abusive father. The hidden track, "This Time" starts 30 seconds into the track and is a soft track centered around not giving up despite failure.

Free Music Review: Not worth owning unless you like to get depressed.
Hit: 2 Stars

First time I've heard anything from these guys so I listened at least 3-4 times to every song. All songs are mid/up-tempo, but IMO only a few of them are worth listening to.

1. The best song on the CD. Catchy and up-beat. About being everything for eachother. 5/5

2. About being lost. Mid-tempo. Monotone. Non-grower. 1/5

3. Up-beat dark song. About trying to settle in and finding out where you belong. I love the lyrics and it's a grower, but it's not as catchy as I want it to be. 4/5

4. I think this songs is talking about their fame and if it really means anything. It's not catchy, and the lyrics aren't that great either, but you don't want to throw up. Mid/up-tempo. 2/5

5. Album filler. "all these little things in life and they all create this haze", repeat repeat. Skip. 1/5

6. The title gives it away. Different from the rest of the CD. It's catchy and probably reaches wider audience. This is, surprisingly, a slow song although the chorus has a bit of an edge. 5/5

7. It's almost the same melody as track 5, which could be good, but what's the point. Mid-tempo about being from the one you love, but feeling that person. 2/5

8. I love the beat when they're NOT singing on this one. I think the lyrics are stupid. Makes me think of the movie 'the quick and the dead1. 1/5

9. This is also a bit of a slow one, but I'm liking it. It's about noone understanding what's going through your mind and about frustration. 3/5

10. About saying you don't care about someone, but that they'll miss you when you're not there and you're really hurting inside. It's a mid-tempo bitter song. Not so catchy, but you CAN listen to it. 2.5/5

11. He killed his father in this one. 2 because the story is good. 2/5

12. Getting a second chance in life. The song makes me depressed, and I should really be happy that this is the last song. 1/5

Free Music Review: 3 Doors up is more like it!
Hit: 4 Stars

This is a cool album to the max! It has some of the best 3 Doors Down songs that were ever made(a few of my favorites include Here Without You, Away From The Sun and of course When I'm Gone)and the lead singer has a very good voice. 3 Doors Down is one of my favorite artists of all time, and I am looking forward to listening to more of their records. If you like rock bands, you need this. Hell, it even uses one of its songs for the title to the album. Anyway, I think I've said enough. Buy this CD.
