I bought this album when it first came out and I still love it. I'm mainly writing this review to let new fans of 3DD know that this one is still their best. Every song on this track is amazing and still gets routine spins in my CD player. It's also their hardest rocking CD they've put out and it's one every fan should have in their collection.Free Music Review: The Best Band Ever

Although I may sound biased when I say this, but 3 Doors Down is the best band ever. The summary by Jason Josephes, who is a very unopen-to-good-music-no-matter-what-genre-critic, is a load of bull. 3DD may sound like Alice and Chains, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Pearl Jam, but they do have a unique style of their own. They take country music sounds and tweak them till they sound like rock, and that makes it all the better. I guess even though 3DD got 3 top ten singles on THE BETTER LIFE, 3 more on AWAY FROM THE SUN, and one now on SEVENTEEN DAYS, and got #1 on SEVENTEEN DAYS WHEN IT CAME OUT!, Mr. Josephes isn't happy. 3DD has been around for 5 years, and will be around for many more. Of course, it might help to listen to the cd before you say crap about it.Free Music Review: Love this CD!

Bought this CD based after hearing 'Kryptonite'. Very quickly discovered that it was the only thing remotely worth listening to on the CD. I'm hoping their next CD will be called 'The Better Music'. Free Music Review: Awesome!!

This is the 1st album released by 3 Doors Down and it's great! Great lyrics, vocals, and beat!
Kryptonite: B Great song and great lyrics. I'm sure you've heard it on the radio.
Loser: A This song makes you feel like you aren't the only one who feels alone and like a 'loser'.
Duck and Run: A+ My fav song on the album. Awesome guitar solo in the beginning and superb lyrics.
Not Enough: B+ This song has a western-ish sound in the beginning but then it goes into rock. It has a fun beat to it, also.
Be Like That: A+ I'm sure you also heard this one. The lyrics I'm sure everyone can relate to somehow.
Life of My Own: B Nothing much with this song... the chorus is the best part of it.
Better Life: A+ Sound familiar? It's the album title! Very catchy beat and fun!
Down Poison: A I heard this song was about something that happened in Mississippi. Apperantly, a couple loved each other and she gave him a disease and left with a note saying "Welcome to my World". The rest Brad made up (lyrics writer and singer).
By My Side: B Same repeative beat...
Smack: A+ I love this song because it's a faster song and once you can keep up and sing with the song it's fun to do. Also has a great beat.
So I Need You: B+ Great song about love...
This is just my opinion but I love and recommend this album... along with the other 3 Doors Down albums.
