people say this band sounds like Judas priest and Maiden. Yes but, they're guitars have a more aggressive tone then those bands and it I would lump it into an early metallica tone.
Listening to 3 inches makes me remember why enjoyed listening to thrash metal such as metallica. The standard tuning really does create a bright and upbeat tone rather then the pulverizing angry tone in most contemporary metal with the down/drop tuning. Nevertheless that has it's place and I enjoy that too..
Despite 3 inches throw back 80's thrash sound, they're vocals and guitars are unique enough to give off a contemporary feel.
