Free Music Notes for 300 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Free Music Review: WOW!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw the movie for the first time the other night, and was blown away by everything. For me, the thing that made this movie was the music. Tyler Bates should be on every movie directors short list as a composer for their movies because what he did was turn a great war movie into an epic war movie simply because of the music he created for it. I went out and bought the CD the day after I saw the movie, it was that good. I urge you to do yourselves a favor and run out and buy this CD. You won't be disappointed.

Free Music Review: Epic
Hit: 5 Stars

It's very hard to describe this music in words; you need to listen to it in order to appreciate it. The music is perfect in every sense. It blends together very well and it has this historical feeling to it with its constant chanting. This is the first time I've heard from Tyler Bates and I'm amazed. And the music adds so much to the movie in terms of emotion and courage. Buy this if you're a fan of him or just like amazing music. You won't regret it.

Free Music Review: Excellent Soundtrack
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a top notch soundtrack. I have seen the movie and the soundtrack adds that needed extra punch to the movie.

If someone is rating this on the basis of a specific artist (as I saw in a previous review on here) that is not the appropriate criteria that should be used to rate. This is the soundtrack to a movie and not an artists album!

Buy this album. You won't regret it.

Free Music Review: Awesome use of musical resources
Hit: 5 Stars

I checked this out because I loved the soundtrack for "Slither". I have neither seen "Slither" nor "300", but I collect soundtracks that move me. The use of full orchestra, electronics and voice are some of the best I've heard.

Also, I'm going to look up some of the works of Azam Ali. I rarely buy soundtracks with vocals in them, but I loved her vocal contribution.

Free Music Review: This rocks!
Hit: 5 Stars

I can only say that this is one of the better scores I've heard in a long time. The pounding, primal rhythms and powerful operatic vocals Tyler Bates has put together with the scream of more modern instruments like electric guitar perfectly evoke the ferocity of Spartans in battle. This score is even more powerful than the movie it was created for in my opinion. It is genius!
