Free Music Notes for From ChaosFree Music Review: blend of genius Hit: 5 Stars
once again 311 lays down a great cd with excellent musical blends with the hypnotic lyrical singing they have always been known for. anyone who is a fan of 311 will DEFINATELY be satisfied with this cd and anyone new to the group will be in for a very happy treat. this is one of the best cd's that i've heard in literally months. they have a way of causing your mind to drift into a peaceful world almost unheard of by any other group. they are definately a true work of art and every cd they have come out with has been a great investment and From Chaos is no exception. hours of enjoyment for a very small price. if anyone from the group reads this review, THANK YOU!!!!
Free Music Review: everything about this album is perfect, 311 meshes so well Hit: 5 Stars
I recieved an advance of "From Chaos" a couple weeks ago and i've been playing it non stop ever since. I wasn't too big of a fan of "Transistor", and "Soundsystem" was cool but not one of my favorites. I'm more into "Grassroots" and "311" and this album is a mix of those with a new melodic approach on songs like 'Amber'. It's a perfect blend of old and new, hard and soft, etc. This is going to be overplayed my me this summer for sure :) Rock is coming back in full force this year with Tool's brilliant new album already and Incubus to follow later this year. I recommend this album for ANYONE into 311.
Free Music Review: Lots of funky grooves Hit: 5 Stars
I like 311, I think they are one of the premier funk rap/rock bands of today, songs like "Come Original" proive it. Thier followup to thier album "Soundsystem" is a good one filled with numerous songs that are good and that you can groove to. My favorites on this album are: "You Wouldn't Believe", "I'll be here Awhile", "Amber", "Sick Tight", "From Chaos" and "Hostle Apostle". I love the lyrical delivery by Nick Hexum truly a standout vocalist. Not to mention how good the rythym section works together for fans of the new Rap/metal genre or 311 check out this cd
Free Music Review: From Chaos.....Comes greatness. Hit: 5 Stars
Of all of the albums, by all of the groups that I listen to, 311 is the only band whose albums I can listen to, all the way through, every time. From Chaos is no different, and a wonderful direction for the boys to head towards, once again. From the smooth lyrics, and tight tunes, all the way to the slammin powerchords, and phat rhymes, from Chaos has reminded me why I liked this band in the first place. If you liked 311, and got thrown off a bit by Transistor and Soundsystem, now is the time to return to the Hive. As phat as they ever were, I thank the guys for this wonderful moment in the 311 discography. Peace!!!
Free Music Review: I am having flashbacks to when 311 was good Hit: 5 Stars
Well, for those of you who cherished 'Music', 'Grassroots', and '311', and use 'Transistor' and 'Soundsystem' as drink coasters, expect a great album from 311. This time around, they successfully implement hard rock and sweet melodies together...just like on their first three efforts-i.e. 'DLMD' with the beautiful 'Purpose'. Thankfully, they did not try to get all 'different', and 'out there' like on Transistor, and they did not try to mix Transistor with the Blue Album like on 'Soundsystem'. Ultimately, this is a great band who got it right again, and 'From chaos' should be owned by any fan of 311.
