Free Music Review: Mood Lifting Music
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is very, very good. Not altogether groundbreaking by any stretch of the imagination - but there is a certain comfort in knowing that when you buy an album it will make you feel good and also move and inspire you. 311 has always done that. 'Music' is still their best effort but this falls in closely behind. "Uncalm" is unlike anything I have heard from anybody. 'Amber' is an instant classic and the rest of the album is only amazing. My least favorite song is 'Hostile Apostle' and I even like that one. If you like 311 or even if you don't - GET THIS ALBUM!! Peace.

Free Music Review: 311 back in good form
Hit: 5 Stars

I think since 1997's Transistor, many fans have wanted 311 to get back to what they do best - rock! On the other hand, many fans love it when 311 grooves with a spacy melody and varied beats. "From Chaos" has something for both sets of fans. Like all of 311's albums, the songs in "From Chaos" are complete with catchy hooks and slick rapping by SA and Nick (not to mention their harmony). If you liked the 'Blue' album, Grassroots and Transistor, I think you'll dig "from Chaos" . It is by far their best work yet ...but is that a surprise? ;)

Free Music Review: Finally...
Hit: 5 Stars

Hands down the best 311 album in my book is Music. So you can imagine my disgust with recent albums such as Transistor and Soundsystem (slightly better than the former). The 311 album obviously opened the door for the band to the public, since I feel they have played for the "trendies". From Chaos is a return to the "style I came from" and didn't let me down anywhere near as much as I expected. If you like recent 311 stuff then this isn't for you, if you have been missing the old school jams, well this is probably about as close as we will get again.

Free Music Review: Editor without a clue...
Hit: 5 Stars

...Being a new fan of 311 (as of this album), I've listened to From Chaos extensively and have (as a result) checked out the rest of their catalog.

This album is by far their most melodic (and effectively) most accessible work yet ....Additionally, it's a *very* solid album--nearly ever song is a winner....There's a great diversity of tunes on disc--some killer hard stuff (You Get Worked, Sick Tight) and some beautiful, tropical-tinged slower stuff (Amber, Champagne). Every song is a different flavor.

From Chaos is a crown jewel in 311's discography.

Free Music Review: killer cd
Hit: 5 Stars

"From Chaos" is a very tight cd.Its a little bit more soft than some of their other cd's but its still awesome. this cd has a lot more melody than their other cds. you can tell their really experimenting with their music. You got your hard and fast songs like "sick tight","you wouldnt believe",and "you get worked".then you have you softer more melodic songs like "from chaos","uncalm",and "i told myself". my fav. song though would have to be "from chaos". this is a tight cd you should get it.
