Free Music Notes for From Chaos

Free Music Review: Very Tight
Hit: 5 Stars

This is classic 311. New mellodies and tight guitars bring "From Chaos" to be one of their best releases. Songs like "Full Ride" and "Champange" are perfect examples of how 311 can switch between the various moods in their songs. Like any other 311, the songs on this release are absolutely addicting and you will soon find yourself hitting the repeat on the cd player and letting it go. I almost didn't get all the way through the entire cd because i wanted to go back and listen to some of Nick's truly awesome rhymes to try to get them down. Do yourself a favor and go get this cd and put it in you car and let it go. I garuntee that it will put you in a great mood and the ride will become so much more enjoyable. I did that on my lunch break today right after I got it. Truly good times right there. If you are not a 311 fan, get this and you will see why they are the greatest group around.

Free Music Review: Don't let "Amber" fool you out of this CD
Hit: 5 Stars

(...) This album is definatly 311's worst out of the 7 but is still awesome!! It has a lot of hard songs like "You Get Worked", "Sick Tight", "You Wouldn't Believe", "Full Ride", and "From Chaos". Along with some slower songs like "I'll Be Here Awhile" and of course the overplayed radio hit "Amber." But a word to you people who think Amber (...) and From Chaos is 311's only album, They tell you NOTHING about the music world. All they tell you is what they think is cool and popular at the time. If you want to hear 311 at their best get "Music", "Grassroots", or any other 311 album. From Chaos is good, but it has too much MTV popularity backing it up which isn't 311. 311 dosn't need MTV. The last thing they need is MTV. They can beat out MTV hands down. They can back themselves up by making great music, which they have done so far. So all you MTV fans who are downing 311 vecause of what you hear on MTV, (...)

Free Music Review: 311 does it again
Hit: 5 Stars

311 is one of those bands that doesn't get credit for doing what no other band does and thats combining so many different kinds of music and making it sound good. I wasn't too impressed with an album like 311's self-titled, which is to me a bunch of random lyrics spitted out between guitar riffs...it gets old very fast. "From Chaos" is almost like another little step from "Soundsystem" (which I think is the album that really showed off 311's style). This is the first time 311 really took time on their lyrics and made them mean something for everyone. Tracks like "Amber", "I'll be Here Awhile", and "Champagne" are the more mellow tracks that show off 311's amazing sound. Of course you have to like 311's hard rocking style too. If you like "From Chaos" then defintely get "Evolver" (the newest one) that album to me completes 311's music.

Free Music Review: the 311 boys are back!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

OK.311 is back. And i mean the 311 we all know from their old school days (Music,Grassroots,Blue Album).THeir past two albums have been a let down. After Soundsystem was released,i figured 311 was a one and done deal. After that I think alot of people moved on and didn't bother with From Chaos.I decided to give the boys another chance because the first single "You Wouldn't Believe" was decent.I didn't really expect much of the album but wait...i popped it in my player and the CD opener "You Get Worked" starts.S.A. goes in to his rap.And Nick raps with him.I knew the good ol' 311 boys were back.

Nice work 311!311 fans pick this record up today if your an old school fan of them.Transistor/Soundsystem fans GO AWAY!Good Songs are "You GEt Worked" "Sick Tight" "You Wouldn't Believe" "Full Ride" and basicly the whole CD.Buy it now.

Free Music Review: Finally
Hit: 5 Stars

311 hit it big with 95's self titled blue album. It was the perfect mix of hard rock and mellow reggae. Then came transitor. This was 311's most misunderstood album and I think it is their best. It was different from anything before and this turned people off. Then in '99 came soundsystem. While it was a solid album it was nothing to write home to mommy about. There was something missing from it and the band did not even feel like supporting it. Now comes from chaos. This is the band's best album. They really outdid themselves. They took the formula that made the blue album and music work and made it better. The rock and reggae both work. The band seems that they are finally having a good time again, and they seem mighty proud of themselves. 311 has shown that they are one of the best bands of the past decade. All I can say is that this album is awesome.
