Free Music Notes for GrassrootsFree Music Review: 311 are and will always be the best Hit: 5 Stars
This album is just an example of how rad these guys are, I have NO complaints about this album, every song is worth listening to, My favorites are obviously "Homebrew", "Lucky", Nut Symptom", "Applied Science", and "123", Hell, i love the whole album, "Six" is a great song, I love the Grassroots album because it shows how talented the guys really are, they can rap, they can sing, they can blend both of them together, NO other band will ever have the 311 sound. I can't wait until their new album comes out in the spring of 2003, You all better buy it! I know I will, until then, stay positive and love your lives.
Free Music Review: Wow Hit: 5 Stars
So.... F@#*ing.... Good.... I think that is the best way to discribe this album, because that's what it is. Any 311 fan (Diehard or not) should own this album, which is, in my opinion and many other's, their best album. It's amazing how they blend rock, funk, reggae, and hip-hop so flawlessly and make it sound *so f@#*ing good*. Chad Sexton's (probably the best drummer that ever lived) drum solo in Applied Science is indescribably good, and almost 10 times better live. If I could, I'd give this song 10 out of 5 stars, because that's how many it deserves.
Free Music Review: Omaha Stylee is the sh.. we come with, man. Hit: 5 Stars
A style embedded in the guitar sounds of Tim, the hit of the bass by P-nut, the "applied science" of the drum, and the alternate rhythm rhyimg of the lead vocalist and the master of ceremonies, Grassroots stands out as one of the best cd's of the 1990's. Its true to say that 311 has their own style, but even more appropriate to say 311 is style. Rock 311 in your car, windows down, speakers bumping, head nodding... Let everyone know that Omaha Stylee is the sh.. we come with man, it's embedded in our souls and it breathes out from this band.
Free Music Review: Absolutly Amazing Hit: 5 Stars
This album defines what in my words is an absolutly amazing album. Every song has its own meaning and beat. I own all of their cd's except the Omaha sessions and i would out this as their best album with transistor in a close second. This cd has a sound to it heared no where else. 311 has such an original sound that you can't think off any other band that sounds like them. Nick has a one of a kind voice that is just awesome. I'm seeing them in concert for the first time in July and can't wait because I'm sure they're awesome live.
Free Music Review: grassroots... Hit: 5 Stars
widely regarded as 311's best album... grassroots has only gotten more and more popular as the years go by... their sophomore release is a showcase of their incredible precussion section and songwriting skills... noboby (except 311) has been able to have this much fun rocking out since... this is 311 at their most pure... more polished then their first album but not yet overproduced, it is an absolute necessity for any 311 fan or late blooming rock fan searching desperately for some decent rock...
