grassroots is 311 in it's finest hour, i dont know what else i can say, all of their styles throughout the years all are at their best on grassroots, going from rap to jazz to funk and back, the CD is amazing, including i think one of the best 311 songs ever, lose, which is a great love song, and the opening song homebrew, which by the way if you havent seen played live, your missing out. anyway 311 went above and beyond, you gotta get this CD.Free Music Review: One of 311`s best albums

Grassroots is one of 311`s best albums, mainly because it`s where they put a stamp on their style of rap/rock/reggae/funk. All the tracks from start to finish are outstanding. It has a nice mix of hard rocking, mosh pit inducing songs like Omaha Stylee to mellower stuff like 1,2,3. ok im a huge 311 fan even though i first listened to them like 6 months ago. i have almost all of their records including their newest cd from chaos. if your a rock fan this cd rocks. since 311 isnt well known you wont be stuck listening to the radio singles but the entire album. grassroots is wonderful and its a jewel for 311 hardcore fans.Free Music Review: special of the week

311's been my favorite band since i heard jackolantern's weather at a party in like '98...grassroots isn't my top choice, but it's def a neccessity for 311 fans to have. i'm not going to repeat everything that all the other reviews say, but i am going to tell you to take their word for it, this cd rocks...Free Music Review: the last great 311 CD

after grassroots, 311's sound changed, which led to the commercial success they richly deserved - but at the expense of the impressive alchemy underlying the music and grassroots discs. other reviews saying grassroots was 311's peak pretty much hit it on the head. get this!
