To be honest, I hadnt heard of 311 until their breakthrough single "Down" was played on the radio. i ran out and bought that cd and thought it was the greatest thing ever. then i decided i'd check out what other work they'd done. boy what a good idea that was. music is probably one of the most versatile cds ive ever heard. there is EVERYTHING on that cd. i dont see how anyone in their right mind can not like that cd. go out and BUY it...support a band who supports their fans to no extentFree Music Review: Awesome-wo!

This was the third 311 CD I had bought sence I've only been a fan for a year or half. But this Cd was greaat!! The rythem changes and voals were amazing. Especialy P-Nut's(bass player) superve funk-slapp bass playing. S.A(vocals) and Nick Hex(vocal) rap interchangable voices were really cool. And the guitar was perfect, heavy riffs when needed and light reggea-funk tunes at the right moment. Overall this CD was AWESOME!Free Music Review: The Original

I first heard this album in 1997. It was from that point that I became a lifelong fan of 311.
From the opening snare drum strokes this album keeps your head nodding and your feet tapping. the lyrics exemplify the strong positive message that 311 pumps through the speakers.
You can hear the hunger in the guitar licks, vocals, and drums! A must buy for the collection of fine 90's band music!

311's debut album, Music, was a fabulous way to kick off a 7-album (so far) career. The combination of creatively crafted lyrics, brilliant drumming, and very melodic guitars come together to make this album an outstanding listen all the way through. I've been a 311 fan since day 1. This is their best album. They really don't have any bad albums to tell you the truth so you can't go wrong with any. Even Omaha sessions (1990) which you can buy from their website is sick.. The people that claim that this isn't their best album probably are 16 and started listening to 311 when transistor or soundsystem came out.
