Hit: 4 Stars

This album ROCKS! I recently heard a few of their tracks on a local radio station,(95.9/101.7)"the Z". I really liked their music, and found out that 32 Leaves was going to be playing a local gig at one of the bars downtown. I went to the show and was just blown away. These guys sounded so good live. I met the whole band and watched the show. Not only was the music awesome, but all five guys in the band were the coolest. I definately recomend this album and this band.

Free Music Review: One of the best albums I've listened to this year
Hit: 5 Stars

"Welcome to the Fall" by 32 Leaves is a great album. I'm very pleased with it and glad that I decided to buy it after hearing these guys on PureVolume. I would have never heard of them if it hadn't been for their homepage spot on PureVolume that made me click on them and have a listen. Kudos to the band for having the entire album up on PureVolume available for preview through streaming so that you could really see what you were getting. To me that displays some confidence in their material, which they should rightly have. It's true, these guys do sound quite a bit like a few different bands at different times (A Perfect Circle, Ra, Deftones, to name a few) but they do have a sound of their own. I was a bit disappointed that when i received the CD there was a sticker on the front announcing "For Fans of A Perfect Circle, Deftones and Failure". I made the conclusion that these guys did have some familiarities to those bands which I love before I got the sticker, but I thought it was kind of wrong to bias the new listener into thinking these guys are another knockoff of APC or Deftones, because they most certainly aren't. I will admit though that they do have many similarities to APC (vocals and bass lines most notably). The songs on this album are quite diverse yet meld together nicely to form an ambient mixture of progressive and alternative rock music. Most of the songs on the album (with the exception of the last one) contain fast, driving rhythms behind some great vocals. This album is also very accesible : I found myself singing along to many of the songs on the first listen and after many listens have even found myself obliged to have this on as background music while driving or studying, even when I wasn't fully paying attention. Overall, if you do like A Perfect Circle you will most likely like 32 Leaves as well as long as you listen to them with an open mind and aren't trying to compare the two bands because they are both different in their own ways. Pick up this album if you want to hear some good rock music from a rising band.

Free Music Review: Poly Loves 32 Leaves
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been following, supporting and most recently working with this band for about 3 years. I don't tell you all that to try to pull the "I'm cool I heard of them first" attitude. I tell you this to set up how impressed I am with their debut, "Welcome To The Fall". So, I've been with this band for awhile, listening to them progress and grow. Even having heard early demo stuff and demos of songs that were to be on the album, I was BLOWN away with the album. Very well written, very well crafted. The production impressed especially. They aren't on a huge label, they didn't have a big budget, but it sounds big. I am so impressed with the finished product. Another reviewer hit my comparisons RIGHT on the head. I hear A Perfect Circle, Deftones and LOTS of Failure. Not sure what else to say, this record is solid! Especially for a debut. Just buy it!

These guys are the real thing. You'll enjoy the awsome music and incredable lyrics. They definately know what they are doing. From begining to end, you can't help but listen over and over. Great job guys... I look forward to seeing you in the years to come!!!

Free Music Review: FOR FANS OF A PERFECT CIRCLE OR FAILURE - HANDS DOWN THE BEST ALBUM OF 2005!
Hit: 5 Stars

I stumbled across these guys on Purevolume a couple of days ago and picked up their cd this morning...all I can say is WOW - this is hands down the best band I've heard in a long, long time. 32 Leaves music is cross between some of my favorite bands like A perfect Circle, Failure and The Deftones BUT they definitely have their own style. The vocals are great, super melodic in a Maynard sort of way. The production and the songs are killer: if Blood on my Hands and All is Numb aren't hits, I'll eat my hat! The cd includes a dope video for Blood on my Hands as well.

Buy this record. You won't be disappointed.
