With songs like ~ "ROCKIN' INTO THE NIGHT", PRISONERS OF ROCK & ROLL", "HOLD ON LOOSELY", "CAUGHT UP IN YOU", "IF I'D BEEN THE ONE", "ROUGH-HOUSIN'", "WILD-EYED SOUTHERN BOYS" and "PRISONERS OF ROCK & ROLL" and the list could go on. Hip-O Records have gathered on a 2-CD-Set, thirty-four (34) songs mixed with country, blues and rock...from a group that's been around since the late '70s, lead by Donnie Van Zant.This is the "Ultimate Collection", considered the best or very best from this Jacksonville, Florida band, started in the mid '70s...featuring hard-rock tunes that would make any CD collection proud.
It is difficult to pick any stand outs...the entire collection, if you're a fan, is a winner. Great job from Hip-O Records, Mike Ragogna (producer) and Pat Lawrence (executive producer)...if you were listening to rock in the '70s and '80s, chances are this band was at the top of your list!
