One day I was in a store and heard some music that caught my attention. I asked the store owner what I was listening to. It was "Ojala Que Llueva Café" by Juan Luis Guerra. At the music store I asked for help in finding it. "That's a good one, but `Ni Es Lo Mismo Ni Es Igual' sells a lot more." So I bought both and was glad I did. They are both full of lively happy music. When I bought "Para Ti" I was blown away by the music. JLG is a great writer, fine singer, and has a wonderful supporting cast of musicians. I listen to it again and again, not understanding the lyrics, but lost in the joyful sound.Free Music Review: Obra de Arte

Fuera de prejuicios religiosos debemos ver éste álbum como una expresión de lo que el artista (Juan Luis) siente en su corazón y quiere compartir con el público. Este disco muestra la capacidad evolutiva de Juan Luis. Aqui hay merengue-gospel, baladas con trazos de country, arreglos corales estupendos y una salsa que la baila hasta el más ateo. Disfruten este álbum como otra obra de arte provista por éste genio. Olvidémonos de causas divisorias, discos como éste y los anteriores de éste artista no se ven muy a menudo.Free Music Review: Latino praise!

My first exposure to Juan Luis Guerra was when I bought the Latin Grammy winning album NI ES LO MISMO NI ES IGUAL. Great stuff! A friend told me then that Guerra is an evangelical Christian and was working on a Christian album. This is it. He wrote all the songs. The arrangements and back-up musicians are superb. And you come away with the impression that this is a person who loves God and communicates that relationship beautifully. His love songs on other albums are written to his wife. This album shows the depth of his love for God. Excellent.Free Music Review: Peculiar pero agradable...

El tratamiento que JLG le da a la salsa siempre me ha fascinado.
Me gusta la velocidad en la musica y 'Se mueven los dinteles"
es mi pieza favorita. Dejando fuera consideraciones politicas
(o religiosas) el disco esta bien chevere,agradable y digno.
Mis favoritas:Se mueven los dinteles, Para ti y Cancion de Sanidad. Este disco sera tremendo "trip" para los "nuevos
cristianos". Para los que nos limitamos a observar y comentar
esta al nivel al cual nos tiene acostumbrados.

Once again, Juan Luis did it. He kept his very unique style even if expressing a different kind of love relationship and as usual, one of the pieces, with a wonderful sense of humor. I was pleasantly surprised and my confidence on his material grew. Definitely one of my favorite song writers and his own peculiar bachata style and expressing in his words that could become anyone's expression of an endearing relationship with God no matter of what specific group you belong to.
