O.K. people, let's get one thing clear...Kanye & 50 release two different types of music. Stop comparing the two. A good analogy to make would be to compare Kanye West's album to a good drama you pay to see at the movies, but would NEVER buy once it comes out on disc. It's good, but not something you and your friends would sit around the living room watching. On the other hand, 50's album is like a summer blockbuster that is so amazing (i.e.: action sequences or stunning visuals) that you'll watch it more than once at the movies and then BUY the DVD once it's released. You can watch a mindless action flick like Kill Bill or Matrix with some buddies without feeling weird. So yes, Kanye's music may be deeper and 50's may be more surface layered, but the CURTIS album is a better value for your money. And to those that side with Kanye on a moral standpoint, consider this: Kanye says the N-word quite frequently, uses all the curse words known to man, raps about taking advantage of intoxicated women, and gloats about money as well. In addition, Kanye's lyrical ability is slightly lackluster. In 50's mixtape days it seemed as if he could be on the same song as Canibus, and he frequently held his own when rhyming with Eminem. Kanye West cannot RHYME NEXT TO EMINEM; remember what happened to Jay-Z on "Renegade"? These two are only giving the public what they WANT to see. You want 50 Cent to be a thug, so he accomodated you. If anyone thinks 50 Cent isn't lyrical go "obtain" his unreleased album POWER OF THE DOLLAR. It is a hip-hop purist album on par with ILLMATIC, REASONABLE DOUBT & READY TO DIE. However, lyrics like those don't sell today. Lloyd Banks once said, "Go 'head 'cuz switch your style up/ And if they hate, let 'em hate/ And watch the money pile up/". Trust me, I am not rolling through my hood in Brooklyn bumping Kanye's music. That is an automatic carjacking. The dudes in my hood will look at me the way zombies do when they find out a warm flesh and blood human is in their midst. They stare with annoyed shock and then give chase.

First off I would like to add how good of an album this is for 50 cent and for all of those who don't appreciate his previous work or current work. How come nobody is ever happy? What do you guys want to hear from 50? I keep reading reviews that say it sounds the same etc........but when he tries to switch it up you guys still hate and don't like. For one you knew what kinda material you were gettin when you buy a 50 cd....you know what kinda material you're gettin when you buy kanye's cd. So I just don't get it when people write bad reviews if you thought there was a chance of the cd not being good......even though half the songs on the album have already been a single or underground single....you knew what to expect.....it's a little different from what he used to do but it's also not a cd where he's still in the streets writin about tryin to "get rich or die tryin" he is rich now he's gonna rap bout what he's gonna do next. I don't know if you guys realize this but everybodys 1st cd is material that they've been makin the whole life...after that you get what you get. So just stop hatin if you haven't liked his previous material just stay away from it cuz it's not that much different. peace.Free Music Review: you guys are all haters this album is thorough

For all you people out there giving this album 1 star be real. This album is thorough and thats alot more than i can say about many other rap artists out there. If you like real hip-hop and are tired of hearing all the whack stuff out there like "walk it out", "wipe me down", and the likes of those songs then this album is for you. this real gritty hip-hop that only artists like fif and jay and artists like that can bring...If you are looking for dance rap then this isnt an album for you but that doesnt make it a whack album..keep doin your damn thing fif..and if you are really looking at these reviews to decide if you want to buy this album or not, then pay no attention to these people saying that its a one star album because those are just haters talking out there a**es..and probably kanye west fans who are trying to convince people not to buy this albumFree Music Review: Actually, This Is A Great Effort From Fitty!

I bought this album along with Kanye West's new album. It seems a lot of people don't like this album simply because it is the controversial and overly confident 50 Cent. Well, to tell the truth, this is a very solid third album from one of the greats. Very good beats. A lot of people say his lyrics are weak, but I think they are much better than the lyrics from The Massacre. Overall, I think Curtis is a much better outing than The Massacre. It's not quite as great as Get Rich Or Die Tryin', but that was a true classic. I like both Fitty and Kanye, so I approach this competition with them with an open mind. Before you start hatin' on either one, actually go out and listen to both albums all the way through a couple times. Two great releases on the same day that will forever be remembered in hip-hop lore. Good job 50 Cent. Very strong album.Free Music Review: Ferrari Is Back In The Building.

I was really surprised when i heard "Curtis", And this is the hardcore 50 cent that i been waiting to hear since GRODT, not that soft "Massacre" album. Anyway there's alot of hating to this cd, And haters just like 50 said: "I'm laughing straight to the bank with this. Moving on with the record from begining to the end, It's no classic, but it's a great comeback. Song's like "Movin On Up", "Man Down", "Touch The Sky", "Come & Go", "Curtis 187", And people are hating on this album while kanye is making that dumb robot song mixing hip hop with techno how lame. Between this and Graduation, The gorilla beats the teddy bear. Graduation was so weak lyrically kanye blows, I respect him alot better as a producer, And thats final.
