Free Music Notes for CurtisFree Music Review: The Massacre Remix Hit: 2 StarsOkay people what did 50 always have going for him? HYPE! If it wasnt for hype he wouldnt be the household name that he is. Get Rich Or Die Tryin was the most overrated album of 2003 and it was the best album he's ever made. The Massacre was the worst sophomore jinx of all sophomore jinxes and the Get Rich Or Die soundtrack turned out to be better than The Massacre. This album is better than The Massacre in terms of production but it's still a wack lyrically. Matter of fact that is the main flaw of this album; 50's rhymes have gotten weaker. No personality, no skill, just weak commercial pop raps. There are about two songs that are worth mentioning on this album. I Get Money is a cool first single and Fully Loaded Clip is dope also. The rest of this album falls flat. My Gun Go Off, Man Down, Come & Go, Movin on Up and Curtis 187 all have dope beats to them but 50 totally wasted them. Follow My Lead feat Robin Thicke is about as lukewarm as lukewarm gets and Ayo Technology feat Justin Timberlake sounds like an experimental track gone completely awry(besides what is Ayo Technology anyway?). The massacre of eardrums doesnt stop there. Straight To The Bank has the corniest hook you'll ever hear in 2007. Sample "Im laughing straight to the bank n*****/ ha /ha ha ha ha ha/ ha/ha ha ha ha ha". Amusement Park makes Candy Shop sound like LL Cool J's I Need Love. Is anybody surprised that the extremely overused Akon shows up on the dreadful I'll Still Kill? Of course not. The assault on your eardrums continues with Peep Show feat Eminem which is just plain stupid. Fire feat Young Buck and Nicole Scherzinger is wack enough cause rumbles in the club(yeah, its that bad) and All Of Me feat Mary J Blige is a TERRIBLE song for the ladies! Hip hop laughables from Touch The Sky "Have you like E I E I/Oh Oh/ after the 44 blow/I get low/ thats how it go like a pro". LOL! Bottom Line: 50 proves without a shadow of a doubt that he can no longer make a good album. The production except for a few exceptions(Peep Show, Fire, Ayo Technology, I'll Still Kill, Straight To The Bank) wasnt the problem. Its 50 elementary rhymes as well as the weak guest appearances that did this album in. 50 is all hype and when that's all you've got to show for yourself then bad albums like The Massacre and Curtis are bound to happen. Dont even download this and if your spouse gives you this as an anniversary gift then you need to file for divorce. Its THAT bad.
Standouts: I GET MONEY and FULLY LOADED CLIP.
Free Music Review: Great Hit: 5 StarsI think this is a great album- if you wanted a 50 album that's what he gave you- STOP COMPARING 50 TO KANYE Y'ALL NEVER DID BEFORE THE SALE BATTLE SO IT MAKES NO SENSE NOW- THEY RAP ABOUT DIFFERENT THINGS that's like comparing MOS DEF to LIL WAYNE get outta here!
Free Music Review: I have never seen a fall from grace happen so fast Hit: 3 Stars50 Cent started by making a bunch of underground songs that took a while to get some mainstream appeal, and then when he got signed to Shady Records and released the excellent Get Rich or Die Tryin', he was on top of the world. But after that I'm not exactly sure what went wrong, because his following album The Massacre was one of the most aptly titled albums ever. And while his latest album Curtis isn't quite as bad, it still feels like Fiddy is running out of things to say.
The only song that really stands out on this whole album is "I Get Money", whose chorus uses a good sample of Audio Two's "Top Billin'". But even better than that is the remix with Jay-Z and also Diddy, who drops his best verse since, well, ever. But the rest of the album has too many errors, especially corny sexual songs like "Amusement Park", "Peep Show" and "Ayo Technology". And the otherwise interesting "Straight to the Bank" suffers from the laugh-along chorus.
"Fully Loaded Clip" is weird because only the chorus is about blasting while the verses really aren't about anything, and the Robin Thicke-assisted "Follow My Lead" doesn't go anywhere. Speaking of that, a few of the songs also feel like Fiddy just phoned them in, like "Curtis 187", "Movin on Up" and the completely disorganized "Fire" (with Young Buck and Nicole Scherzinger). While the first six tracks save Curtis from being another two-star album from Fiddy, it doesn't pack a punch like Get Rich or Die Tryin' did. Only diehard fans of 50 Cent will be able to enjoy this, so if you're not one, you can do without it.

Free Music Review: 50 Sold Out! He Got Rich and Stopped Trying! Hit: 2 StarsThis album is 50's fall from Hardcore Rap grace. I think this album is merely a shadow of Get Rich or Tryin. Kayne has moved past 50 in is authenticity and that pains me to say because I "was" a big 50 fan. I think 50 needs to sell his million dollar mansions and move back to NYC to find his roots again. He is too far far from reality. Sorry 50.
Free Music Review: PLEASE STOP KILLING HIP HOP!!!!!!! Hit: 1 StarsWith Graduation by Kanye West, Curtis by 50 Cent and American Gangster by Jay-Z the nails in the coffin of Hip-Hop are being firmly hammered down.
The fact the people can find any redeeming features in any of the tracks contained on these appalling Albums is beyond me. All I can do is list some real Hip-Hop Albums that prove that quality lives on and mediocrity simply falls into obscurity.
