Free Music Notes for Get Rich Or Die TryinFree Music Review: 50 5 StarsWhen I was looking at the reviews of 50 Cent's debut album(not including Power of The Dollar) I was amazed that the average rating was 3 1/2 stars out of 5 considering it was one of the best debuts since the Slim Shady LP. 50 May not be the best rapper lyricaly, but he's still better than 90% of the rappers out there because of his superior beats (from Dre and a couple from Em) and hooks(or choruses). If you're a fan of G Unit you'll see that he's made a lot of hooks for the other members of group, he made most of the hook from "On Fire" and "Smile" & "I Get High" from Lloyd Banks, he also made hooks for The Game like "Westside Story", "How We Do", and "Hate It Or Love It", also when he did his G Unit album he made the hooks for "Poppin' Them Thangs", "Beg For Mercy", "My Buddy" & "Stunt 101", also he helped Yong Buck with part of "Let Me In", "Bonafide Hustler", & "I'm a Soldier" (By the way all of those albums except for Beg for Mercy are pretty good for fans of G Unit and people who like rap and The Documentary By The Game, is the best). Some of The Best Songs Are: In Da Club 5/5!!!!!!! The Best Song on the Album. Great Beat, lyrics, and one of his finest hooks. P.I.M.P. Fabolous song by with a good hook, beat, and great lyrics for 50's standards. Many Men (Wish Death) 5/5!!!!!!!! Second best song of the album! Good lyrics, fantastic beat that fits the song well, and his best hook ever where he sings a little bit. 21 Questions Featuring Nate Dogg 5/5!!!!!!!! Third best song. 50 Shows his sense of humor with the line "I Love You Like, A fat Kid LIke Cake(Classic), Nate Drops a great chorus and there's also a pretty good beat. Wanksta 5/5!!!!!!! This song orginally came from the 8 Mile album when Eminem couldn't wait to show off 50's talent. A great song with a good beat, good lyrics, and fantastic hook, ounce again. Back Down 5/5!!!!!!!!! Great song with a good beat, good lyrics, great choruses and ouce again 50 shows his humor off when he creates his own version of one of Em's line from the Eminem Show, "I've bean patiently waiting to blow!!! Welcome to the 50 Cent Show." Patienly Waiting 5/5!!!!! A great song from 50 Cent, with a good chorus, a good beat by Em (one of his best) and he also drops a good verse. If I Can't 5/5!!!!!! A great song with a good chorus, and the best is after a minute where 50 sings a little bit, he also has one really good part of pimp after a minute and half as well. HEAT 4 1/2/5! A good song with a nice beat, and a great hook but its annoying at the begginn where 50 pretends to be high(I think). Poor Lil' Rich 4 1/2/ 5!! A great beat, ok lyrics but his hook and beat makes up for it. Like My Style 4 1/2/5!! This song actually suprised me, i skipped over it 30 times before it started to listen to it because it starts off slow but then the beat gets pretty good, also tony yayo makes a brief cameo (Oh yeah get his album because he really is one of the best in the group). Gotta Make It To Heaven 4 1/2 / 5 A good song with a great beat, an average hook for 50 but still good for most rappers. Blood Hound 4 1/2!!!!!! A good song, with a great beat, good hook, and 50 makes a woof sound that sound pretty good, also young buck drops a verse on the track. So overall a masterpiece from 50 Cent. A handful of 5 star songs and 4 star songs, the only song I don't like is Don't Push Me with Em and Lloyd Banks. If you like this album than i would recommend Em's First 3 albums Eminem Show with lots of great tracks like Without Me, Till I Collaspe with Nate Dogg, Sing For THe Moment, My Dads Gone Crazy, and many other, The Marshall Mathers LP also has the standout tracks Stan, Real Slim Shady, The Way I Am, the most crazy song Em's ever made Kim, and The SLim Shady LP with some of Em's classic story telling like My name is, Role Model, Guilty Conscience, and I'm Shady, Brain Damage, and copy some of his better songs from Encore (which isn't bad but doesn't live up to his previous albums). Also Straight Outta Cashville from Young which has some hot tracks like Shorty Wanna Ride, Let Me In, Stomp with Luda and TI or Game depending on the version, Bang Bang, Prices on My Head, Look at Me Now where Kaniver (from D12) drops a fantastic hook. The Documentary By The Game which has the single's Hate It Or Love It(Great Lyrics from Game) & How We Do, where 50 and Game go back and forth and other great songs like Higher Produced By Dre, Westside Story where 50 drops a good hook, Put You On The Game with a good hook from Game, We Ain't with Eminem, No More Fun and Games (which is too short and would be better if it were longer) it was also produced by Just Blaze, The Documentary, Dreams produced by Kanye West & Like Father Like Son where Busta Rhymes drops a suprisingly good hook. Bank's album The Hunger For More is also pretty good, it has some good tracks like Warrior pt 1 & 2, ON FIRE, Karma with a great chorus from Avant, I'm So Fly his best song, Smile (I'm pretty sure), Ain't No Click, Work Magic , Til The End & When The Chips are down with the Game. Also Kanye West's album college dropout is a great album as well and is a good or better than the Games Documentary. G Unit, at this rate, is gonna be around for a long time and I'm looking for their albums in the future. Get Rich Or Die Tryin PosterCD > POPULAR MUSIC > ROCKHe?s been shot nine times. Incarcerated. And stabbed up and down. And that?s only what?s happened on 50 Cent?s down time. Hands down, 50 Cent is the biggest buzz emcee since Eminem (who just happens to be his label CEO), and Get Rich also features Dr. Dre on production, so it?s a can?t-miss record, right? Well, mostly. Get Rich is not filled with midtempo, radio-friendly numbers like "Wanksta," his thinly veiled Ja Rule dis first heard on the 8 Mile soundtrack. Instead, Cent brings the heat, not heater. He sheds his inner thug on "21 Questions," featuring G-funk crooner Nate Dogg showing some semblance of respect to the hotties, and then reverts right back to his thug persona on "In da Club," where he boasts "I?m into having sex, I ain?t into making love." There?s no "How to Rob, Pt. 2" here, although "Many Men" comes close, as he addresses some of the haters who may not fully get why he?s now rap?s big cheese. Surprisingly, the two Eminem-produced joints--"Patiently Waiting" (which thematically is very much like Em?s "Lose Yourself"), and "Don?t Push Me"--almost rival the beats supplied by Dre. Then again, it seems his most well-known cuts ("High All the Time" and "Wanksta," for example) are actually some of the weakest of the lot. Sure, Get Rich could never have lived up to the hype, it?s nowhere near Biggie's Ready to Die or Nas's Illmatic, but there's no fast-forward material here, a near miracle in these times. --Dalton Higgins Pop Music CDs |
