Who Knew? Yes, that is what I said! Who knew that Crowe could do such an amazing job on dry witt in a comedy. This movie was a breath of fresh air. Just delightful! All the actors were cast so perfectly, and the wonderful views of the rural Italy were just so breathtakingly soft to the eye. I loved this movie so much that I even bought the soundtrack. The CD/movie has a fabulous assortment of music, from piano bar to French humorist styles. The CD is an eclectic assortment though. So, if you like piano jazz and music of old like El Mundo, I believe you will like this CD.
If you are a person that likes mainstream music this CD is not for you. The CD is purely for the piano bar aficionados.

The music on this cd is so different than what I usually listen to. When I heard the Wedding Samba on the movie, I knew I had to have the cd. Excellent music, a mix of new themes and old songs (from 1930s and 1940s). I play it all the time (even at work), at this rate it's going to wear out soon. As it's not available in Australia yet, my friends are a bit jealous. Overall, it's one of the best soundtracks I've bought.Free Music Review: As beautiful as the movie!

The songs bring the images of Provence, and the scenes of the film. Besides, they have a nostalgic tone...just like one of the movie scenes: a little table, a cigar, a chair in a garden, a sunny day, spring, flowers, birds, old songs....and forget about everything else.
