Free Music Notes for A Mighty Wind: The Album

Free Music Review: SEE THE MOVIE... BUY THE CD
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw "The Might Wind" on cable, by chance. I was taken in by it and could not turn it off. I had to watch it from the beginning when I saw it was on again! Now, every time I chance upon it when I am channel surfing, there it goes again... my inability to change the channel! I had to buy the CD. I got it from Amazon.com today and it has been in my CD player since. The songs are great - the performances in the movie were great. And I keep hearing songs that trigger memories from the movie and can't help but chuckle. WHAT TALENT THEY ALL HAVE!!!

Free Music Review: Send Up The Wind!
Hit: 5 Stars

Christopher Guest just wept with laughter that some folkie thinks these are true serious folk songs! This is a send up, just like Spinal Tap was a send up of the Heavy Metal bands of the UK! Oh Boy! Guest is shwoinghow boring and whitebread thise type of music was - B-O-R-I-N-G! Thank GOD The Beatles came along and saved our souls from the likes of all the 1960-63 folk explosion.

Buy this soundtrack justa s you would if you like the soundtrack to a FUNNY film or if you LOVE this music and want to beleieve they were not poking fun at it.

Free Music Review: Christopher Guest in your stereo!
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw the film this past weekend, great film, and unlike his other masterpieces, not only do the comedic scenes play through your head, but for the past few days, I can't seem to get "A Mighty Wind" or "Never Did No Wanderin'" out of my head. Wether you're a folk fanatic or just a fan of Guest's films, this CD is a must have. The music is light hearted and fun to listen to...even if they are parodies! Another genius work of Mr Guest and company. Cheers to the cast and crew behind "A Mighty Wind"

Free Music Review: The best movie ever made
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm sure some people would want to argue their views about Citizen Kane or Throne of Blood, but those movies didn't make me laugh as much as this one did. Bonus features include great outtakes, and you can watch the Town Hall concert as it was broadcast originally. All the actors are top shelf, and the music is so good, you'll want to buy the soundtrack (which has a lot of great material that is not in the movie.) Every time I watch this film, I wonder if Mitch will make it back on time for the kiss.

Free Music Review: I'm Speechless!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the first cd I've bought in a very long time where every track was a winner. If you've seen the film you know the premise. My only complaint is that more of this material should have been included in the movie (this was like releasing "Spinal Tap" without "Big Bottom"). My favorite is the truly bizarre "Just That Kinda Day" by the New Main Street Singers...hahahaha...fair warning, though, it will take a long time for you to get this song out of your head.
