Abba's Greatest Hits captures the bands most melodic pop moments. Whether you like this style or not is completely up to you. Some people I know HATE the band with a passion, and hey, that's their opinion. My opinion however, is that they are a pretty fun pop band that immediately catches my attention with their exciting, upbeat, and melodic talent. Remember the time you forgot mine?
Fantasy masters, at the time ABBA appeared little more than a heteronormative Bee Gees or Wings with better champagne bubbles. Since Madonna, though, everyone knows "Lay All Your Love On Me" et al presaged modern times. All evolution, bi-ped onwards, ain't been about the use of tools or weapons; it's been supernaturally finetuned for the dance floor. Back in the late 80's, when I was but a crossdressing infant, it was those boppy ditties ("Ring Ring") and sad anthems ("One Of Us") that got me off, but, now, I hear the thumper numbers as the dopest. "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" is real life test! Toppermost is the perverse meshing of 1880 musichall with 1978 disco on "Money, Money, Money" complete with female self-empowerment on the final verse. I always intuited the right music was more essential than sugared makeup and ABBA, my dear, is superswoon, the ultrafemmest.

This compilation has all of the songs I knew and loved as a kid, and a few I had never heard (or rarely heard).
