Free Music Review: High Voltage!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is definetly one of the best AC/DC albums. It is basically a compilation of the "best" songs from their first two Australian albums. Every song on here is excellent.

1. It's A Long Way To the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)-5/5. Simply one of the best rock songs ever. Heavy riffing, great Bon Scott vocals and a bagpipe solo. It actually fits the song very well. The best song on the album.
2. Rock 'n' Roll Singer-4/5. Another great guitar riff with great Bon Scott vocals. AC/DC were always at their best when their songs were about the rock lifestyle.
3. The Jack-5/5. Very bluesy, slow song about being with a woman who has an STD. As disgusting as it may sound, the lyrics actually describe it as a card game. Very witty. One of the best songs on here.
4. Live Wire-4/5. A little slower and a lot less raw than the rest of the album. The lyrics and vocal delivery make up for the lack of raw power.
5. T.N.T.-4/5. This song is pure attitude. Very heavy beat that keeps your head bobbing. Another great vocal performance from Bon Scott.
6. Can I Sit Next To You Girl-4/5. Very upbeat with a bit of a dancy feel, in a rock 'n' roll way!! Cool, sexually charged lyrics. AC/DC are very good at this type of song.
7. Little Lover-5/5. Another bluesy number with great guitar playing. Lyrically, it's about spending a little "quality time" with an underage groupie. Great vocals from Scott.
8. She's Got Balls-4/5. This is probably my least favorite song on the album. It still has a classic title and excellent lyrics with a great vocal. A little less raw than the other songs.
9. High Voltage-5/5. Another great raw energy and attitude track. Upbeat and exciting. Another excellent song with great rock 'n' roll lyrics and a great vocal delivery.

This album is full of excellent songs where even the weaker ones are on par with the best of AC/DC's 1980's hits. Bon Scott had a vocal style and energy that, with all due respect, Brian Johnson just doesn't have. This is one of their absolute best albums.

Hit: 5 Stars

High voltage 1976,AC/DC`s first album 76 was the year of the american release but it was originaly released in 1975 in Austalia. The formation of the first c.d was different then what it would became as Bon scott is at lead vocals ,and Mark evans is at bass altough he wouldnt stay for long.

AC/DC`s first album is one of their best work the band did very good for a first album.AC/DC wasnt known at the time and critics really didnt care about the band that would latter become legendary.Rolling stone magazine showed the critics `s lack of interrest toward AC/DC bashing the album.

The songs here all good featuring some of their best material such as `TNT`and ìts a long way to the top. This is the foundation of the band ,after this album was made they went on their first tour. The band would spend the next years touring and making albums to show the world their music and it would pay off latter in the 80s.

9 Songs are included the bands`s first lyrics are mainly aboutshowing how they want to rock in songs like `its a long way to the top` `rock n roll singer` `high voltage` and you feel they have that desire to rock that desire would only grow until the world pays attention. All good songs they did great here.

the songs on this c.d are;
1.Its a long way to the top
2.rock n roll singer
3.the jack
4.live wire
5.tnt
6.can i sit next to you girl
7.little lover
8.she`s got balls
9.high voltage

That edition is the one with the digipack the cool c.d case and the awesome booklet some will buy it just for the booklet nice images of the band in the early days and the storyline tells about the album and more informations its really cool.
AC/DC`s first album is a must have for fans great songs are here this was the good old times as Bon was singing really good if you like ac dc get it because its really good.

Free Music Review: First Rate Debut From The Australian Rockers (4.5)
Hit: 5 Stars

"High Voltage" is everything you could look for in a debut album from a rock band. It is rough and dirty, raw and raunchy, while also featuring catchy riffs. It all comes together effectively when lead by Bon Scott's unique, high pitched shrieks of enthusiasm and Angus Young's ugly and powerful guitar riffs. As a debut album, it does a great deal to stand up to any other material released by the band, in my opinion only falling short in quality of 1 or 2 later albums.

The opening track is a 70s rock gem and oddly enough features the bagpipes. "It's Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock n' Roll) immediately certifies AC/DC is a great group of rockers. "Rock n' Roll Singer" is straightforward rock at its best, with simplistic lyricism and a solid riff. "The Jack" is a slow, bluesy jam which scored them a hit amongst fans with its dirty lyrics and repetitive chorus. Angus Young steals the show on this track with his slow grooving solo. "Live Wire" sports maybe my favourite guitar solo on the album, and a contagious guitar riff. This song is an underrated AC/DC classic. "T.N.T." was the biggest hit song off their debut and is well deserving. The riff is heavy and raw, while the chorus is catchy as hell. "Little Lover" shows the group reverting back to some blues and they do it effectively. "She's Got Balls" is a silly rock song which will make you laugh. The self-titled track is another excellent rocker, with a great, driving riff.

In conclusion, I think AC/DC made a fantastic and somewhat unnoticed debut into rock n' roll. The songs are memorable and in general awesome. Where "High Voltage" is less impressive is the overall repetitiveness of it. Although the guitar riffs are great, they are recycled a little too often. Nevertheless, this is an outstanding rock album and one of their best. Highly recommended.

Free Music Review: AC/DC's Debut!
Hit: 5 Stars

Well here it is, AC/DC's very first U.S. release. This album was released at a time when rock 'n' roll was dominated by bands like the Eagles, Heart, and other bands that really are not rock. This album was released in 1976 and features nine tracks, some really great and some just good. Do not get me wrong no AC/DC song is what I call bad, but some are'nt as good as others.

It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N' Roll) 10/10 - Well this is a very kick ass way to start the album off, straight up rock 'n' roll with no subsitutes. Great song it also features one of my favorite instruments, the bagpipes.

Rock 'N' Roll Singer 10/10 - This is my personal favorite song on the album. Great lyrics, and an awesome beat, absolute rocker.

The Jack 8/10 - This is kind of a slow blues rocker, it's a good song and all, but it is kind of long.

Live Wire 8/10 - Another rocker here, pretty simple rock song here.

T.N.T. 15/10 - This is one of the very best songs ever written, not just by AC/DC, but any band in general. As you see I give it a very high rating. Give a listen and you'll be hooked as well.

Can I Sit Next To You Girl 10/10 - Good catchy number here. Very gritty vocals by Bon, adds flavor to the track.

Little Lover 8/10 - This is my least favorite track on the album, thats all i'll say.

She's Got Balls 9/10 - Good track just not a favorite of mine.

High Voltage 10/10 - Awesome way to end the album, great rock 'n' roll songone listen and you'll be hooked on High Voltage rock 'n' roll!!

This is a very good debut from the best band ever, no disappointments here, and i'm sure if you listen you will most certainly agree. HAIL THUNDER!!!

Free Music Review: BACK TO ROCK 5 Stars

AC/DC, the greatest rock and roll band in the world debuted in the States in 1976. This record is actually a little bit of their first two Australian releases HIGH VOLTAGE(1) and TNT. Though it is possible to get the imported versions of both (which include a lot of tracks unavailable in this country) this package is still a VERY AWESOME album.
THis is back to the very basics AC/DC. Those of you only familiar with BACK IN BLACK should pick up this album to experience what AC/DC was originally about.... A couple dirty school boys, a few sadistic musicians, and a drunken diddler pervert type lead vocalist known as BON. Together they created free spirited rock thunder that shattered the rules around the world. THIS ALBUM IS VERY INTENSE, one of the must owns for sure! The only two songs that are close to sub-par are ROCK AND ROLL SINGER and SHES GOT BALLS...., those ones rock the least HARD.... that means they still rule! LONG WAY TO THE TOP is an instant classic. I don't now how you can't be movin' when this piece kicks in, LIVE WIRE is another intense bit; killer lyrics too (something that MAY lack in later years- there ARE many clever lines on this whole disc!) LITTLE LOVER is one of the funniest, dirtiest tunes they ever did, sans THE JACK, a nice bluesy bit that you can interpret anyway you like (its really about the clapp, but I like the idea of a lady playing cards..)
TNT is a HUGE song. EARLY punk type track that RIPS,,this song is legendary.... CAN I SIT NEXT TO YOU is another hard paced rocker.
This whole album is the stuff that Rock and Roll is made of. This is for care free destruction, and self deprication. If you need a lesson in hard edged, free spirited RAWKIN you better get yourself signed up for these classes NOW!
