Free Music Review: Excelent Reissue
Hit: 5 Stars

I was noy very interested when I first heard that a new record label was going to reissue the AC/DC Catalog. I said to myself that this would be another "REMASTERED" album with nothing much added.

I was quite surprised and impresed with this reissue work. Each CD is filled with pictures relevant to the time the album was recorded. The sound is quite good. Therefore, It provides an enjoyable experience.

As for High Voltage, the CD was the first US realease for the band and it was as raw as a band could get in those days. It was a bold statement for a rock band. AC/DC are not virtusos but what they lack on playmanship they make it up on intensity, performance and dedication. This set was just a blue print that belive it or not did evolved with each new record the band made.

The basis for the AC/DC sound is here in this album... is the starting point on one of the must sincere recording and performance careers on rock and roll.

Free Music Review: Vintage AC/DC and classic hard rock
Hit: 5 Stars

This album still stands out as an all-time AC/DC standard--and as at least one other reviewer mentioned, it was the debut of this legendary band in the USA. From beginning to end, this is vintage, carefree, crunching hard rock. From the classic leadoff "It's A Long Way To The Top", you know this is going to be a fun ride. "The Jack" is a bluesy classic which greatly showcases Bon Scott's searing voice. "Little Lover" is also a bluesy highlight but didn't receive the airplay of the "The Jack". "TNT" is another legendary rock radio hit. "Rock and Roll Singer" and the closing title track further epitomize what this band was about in its prime--just great straight ahead guitar-driven hard rock with properly screaching vocals. This album is a winner through and through that does not get stale with the passage of time. A must have for AC/DC fans and fans of classic hard rock.

Free Music Review: AC/DC's First American Release
Hit: 5 Stars

Released in 1976 as a compilation of AC/DC's first two Australian releases, T.N.T. and High Voltage, High Voltage does a very good job of introducing AC/DC to the US. From start to finish, High Voltage is a solid soundtrack filled with Angus and Malcolm's excellent guitar playing, Bon Scott's shrill yet powerful singing, and Phil Rudd's awesome drumming. There is not a dull track off of the album, and it can easily be played from the beginning with out pressing the skip button once. Though High Voltage is missing several tracks from the Australian releases, most of them are available on AC/DC's 1984 release, "'74 Jailbreak". Some definate classics from the CD are, Rock N' Roll Singer, Live Wire, She's Got Balls, and High Voltage. Though not their best album, Back in Black holds that award, High Voltage is a definate buy, and a necessary record for any AC/DC fan or rock music fan for that matter.

Free Music Review: another GREAT album by one of the greatest
Hit: 5 Stars

what a GREAT album.if you love ROCK as much as i do than i can't see why you wouldn't like this album just as i much as i do.couldn't help but think,as listening to this, that this era of ac/dc is so much better than the brian johnson era because it rocks so much harder.it's almost as if it's punk.songs about sex and violence are really all of what Bon sang about.but who cares? so they aren't interested in saving the world.instead they are dwelling in all of what it has to offer.plus Bon could be throating the phone book and i would still love it because of Angus and one of the best rhythm sections in rock history.but why weren't they as big as they should have been during this time? who knows? i'm just glad that i got to see 'em and grateful that we still have the music to rock out to afterall these years.and they still rock! great band!!!!

Free Music Review: acdc rocks
Hit: 5 Stars

I think that acdc is one of the best rock bands ever. they're no black sabbath or led zeppelin but holy crap. This debut album is awsome. The bagpipe solo on Its a long way to the top (if you wanna rock n roll) is wierd but acdc can pull it off because... Theyre acdc. The great thing about ac dc is theyre all fifty some years old and they still play every couple years. Word is theyre makin a new cd and its comin out within a year. Back to the cd it is great. Angus Youngs guitar solos were unbelievable. Malcolm Young can keep rythem unlike some back up guitars. Bon Scott is unbelievable With his smokey voice that sounds so good with acdc. Phill Rudds great drumming capability is crazy. And you cant forget Mark Evens great bass playing that puts the great sound you hear. All Around This is acdcs best album.
