Free Music Notes for High Voltage (Dlx)Free Music Review: GREAT Re-Issue Hit: 5 Stars
This, as well as all of Epic's AC/DC reissues is amazing. The packaging is great, and the booklets that come inside are well done. Most of all, they finally do AC/DC justice sound-wise. Notice on the older issues of the discs, they sounded more like a worn-out cassette than a cd. I'm pleased to say that the re-issued discs sound amazing...and it's about time! You've already heard the songs, and without question it's worthy of 5-stars. This rating, however, is more for the packaging and (vastly) improved sound quality from prior releases.
Free Music Review: Hello, America Hit: 5 Stars
This was AC/DC's first American release, cobbling together tracks from their early Australian releases to form "High Voltage." "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" & "Rock 'N' Roll Singer" lead off the album and are two of the best tracks AC/DC has ever recorded. Actually, two of the best rock 'n' roll songs ever recorded. I find "The Jack" and "She's Got Balls" highly annoying but the rest of the songs are solid and AC/DC's 3-chord attack is one of the best that rock music has ever seen. End of story!

Free Music Review: Back To Basics Hit: 5 Stars
AC/DC is a true power rock band. Every song on there electrifying debut is rocking all with the same basic rock beat and cool guitar riffs. Starting off with Its A Long Way To The Top it just goes from there every song on here is rocking(well except maybe the bluesy Little Lover) But still the album is AC/DC when they were young as it says in the booklet. Lock up your daughters because this album is a non stop rock thriller and is perfect for any person who loves basic rock n roll and not concept albums.
Free Music Review: Cooler than a body on ice hotter than rolling dice Hit: 5 Stars
Some bands material just gets better with age. High Voltage shows not only what was to come but much furhter beyond other bands AC/DC were in 1976. Angus already had his chops well rehearsed and Bon was already a force to be reckoned with. Sad that he was headed on a path to final destruction and death. This album is chalked full of classics destined for constant radio and LIVE rotation with T.N.T., Live Wire, The Jack, and Its a long Way to the Top
