Free Music Review: Let There Be Rock
Hit: 5 Stars

AC/DC's 1977 release, "Let There Be Rock", is one of the best AC/DC albums they've ever made for one reason, Its good high voltage rock n roll with no stopping and non stop rocking, and more... Let There Be Rock is filled with pounding drums, great guitar riffs, and cool singing which makes this album a must have for a rock fan. This album starts off with the bluesy, "Go Down", which by its name you can obviously tell what it's about.... Go Down opens this album and has a great riff, Its a good song that they can jam on, great song. Then the album rolls on too track two, "Dog Eat Dog", another cool AC/DC song with a great riff, and one of the only AC/DC songs too contain different drumming besides the basic rock beat. Dog Eat Dog is another AC/DC song that is often forgotten about along with, "Go Down". Things then really start rocking on track three, "Let There Be Rock" which is the albums main song and title. Let There Be Rock has probaly the best riff on this whole album and is the best song on the whole album because of what its about and that its just a great rocking song. To prove how intense the song Let There Be Rock is during the recording of it Angus Young's amplifier caught on fire midway through recording of the song yet the producers told him too keep on playing, by the time the song was over the amp head was a melted pile of wires. Things just keep rocking on this album with the fourth track, "Bad Boy Boogie", which contains another great riff too it and beat. Another classic AC/DC song and contains probaly the second best riff on the whole album. Then the fifth track, "Problem Child" was actullay released on the album, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, but was for some reason re realeased on this album.... Still a great song with a great riff. Then the six song, "Overdose", is another one of those early forgotten AC/DC songs but is still a great song. It contains a weird guitar intro too it but quickly gets into the main part of the song with another great riff, but unfortantley that song is another forgotten AC/DC song. Then the seventh song, "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be", was a concert staple for AC/DC in the late 70s along with, Let There Be Rock, Bad Boy Boogie, and Problem Child, anyways back to the point. Hell Aint A Bad Place To Be also contains another great riff and is just a good AC/DC song. Then the final track Whole Lotta Rosie is another AC/DC live concert staple even today, contains a cool riff and for once a different drum beat. All in all AC/DC's Let There Be Rock you cannot miss and at just nine dollars it is defently worth the money.

Free Music Review: AC/DC's Best!!
Hit: 5 Stars

In my humble opinion, this is, by far, AC/DC's best album. It is rawer, faster, heavier, nastier and more brutal than "High Voltage" or any other album by them, and I'm sure that, at the time, not too many thought that was possible.

1. Go Down-5/5. Excellent upbeat, hard driving song with very sexually charged lyrics. You can almost imagine Bon Scott saying these things to the women he would meet. This song has a driving beat that doesn't let up.
2. Dog Eat Dog-5/5. Another great, heavy, upbeat song. The lyrics are one of Bon Scott's best and actually had something to say besides his typical rock 'n' roll lyrics. One of the best.
3. Let There Be Rock-5/5. Another signature AC/DC song. The lyrics to this are the best ever for AC/DC. Although this song is long, it never wears you down because the fast beat never slows down. One of their best ever.
4. Bad Boy Boogie-4/5. A little bluesy, with a bit of a dancy feel to it. One of the weaker songs on here, but still great.
5. Problem Child-3/5. This is one of my least favorite songs ever by AC/DC. I wish that "Crabsody In Blue" would have been put on here instead as it was on the Australian release. It's just a bit too long and a little boring.
6. Overdose-4/5. Heavy riffing with an excellent vocal delivery from Bon Scott. Hard driving rocker, if a bit too long.
7. Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be-5/5. Another fantastic heavy rocker. Hard driving and full of attitude. One of the best on the album.
8. Whole Lotta Rosie-5/5. My personal favorite AC/DC song ever. This song is fast and furious, nasty and sexy, driving and relentless. This has AC/DC's best guitar riff and Bon Scott's best vocal delivery. Absolutely perfect!

This is the most furious, raw and heavy album that AC/DC ever created. The songs definetly live up to the great title. I consider this one of rock's greatest albums ever, whether you are an AC/DC fan or not.

Free Music Review: Their best produced album
Hit: 5 Stars

This is AC/DC`s best produced album. Vander and Young did a suburb job on the dials here. Everything about the sound on this album is brilliant, the guitars are right up front and virtually assault your ears, the drumming and bass are tight as a virgin`s you know what and finally Bon`s vocals are so powerful and loud. It`s not punk but it`s just as, if not more, ferocious as punk but their playing and musicianship is much better than punk. This album, i think, made a bit of a turning point in British music back in 1977. Just as people were getting a bit tired of average playing punk musicians, along came this Australian album which had everything punk had but was more skillfully played than punk. It`s not punk though, it`s heavy rock`n`roll. I`d even class it a heavy metal album but i know AC/DC don`t like being called a metal band even though the majority of their fans are headbangers. Angus Young possibly even invented headbanging. Another good thing about AC/DC which separates them from punk is that AC/DC don`t make political statements, they leave that to boring politians. AC/DC just make you rock and have a good time. Sure there are problems in the world but that doesn`t mean that we can`t enjoy life sometimes. This album, like Dirty Deeds, caused a bit of stink in Australia due to songs like Go Down and Crabsody (which doesn`t appear on this overseas version). I don`t know why Crabsody is not on this release as it`s a classic like Big Balls is. Another song appeared round this time which is also hard to come by, a song called "Carry me Home" which only ended up on the b-side of the Australian released single "Dog Eat Dog." Track it down if you can as it`s a classic song and is about Bon`s drinking habits. I haven`t a favorite song on this album as they are all equally as brilliant as the other.

Free Music Review: Una scarica di adrenalina maledettamente pura
Hit: 5 Stars

1) Go down: Traccia sottovalutata. A

5) Problem child: Canzone dove gli Young e Bon tirano fuori tutto il loro carisma ("What I want I take, what I don't I break") canzone superba, peccato per il ritornello un po' troppo scontato. A-

7) Hell ain't a bad place to be: riff taglienti come delle rasoiate sulle balle. Assolutamente geniale! A+

HEAVY METAL FOREVER

Hit: 5 Stars

Just like anything that ever was, or ever will be extraordinary in this world AC/DC have been around so long now that they have become pigeon-holed as "Classicists"...considered "Main-Stream" and taken for granted.
Lest we forget there was a time (not so long ago) when a generation's musical era was being high-jacked by the music industry and their completely manufactured "Disco Craze". There...in the deepest depths of a nightmare-come-true...a battle cry: ...LET THERE BE ROCK!
AC/DC restored my God-given right to be a rebellious youth: A "Problem Child" if you will?
Forget about The Sex Pistols, and all that "Punk Rock" bollocks. Sure some of it was cool, but it was mostly fringe! Very few youth were walking around in the late 70's pierced with safety pins and such. The whole thing was considered pretty queer in the "States". It was for the most part a British thing with some overflow into the north (particularly NYC).
Make no mistake: This is the music that turned the tide and preserved "Rock `n' Roll" for future generations, and this is the album that demonstrates it best. It is a snapshot of the band in its prime. Not color-enhanced 35mm mind you, but a grainy true to life Polaroid (aka...the way it looks in your head). Everything about this recording is down-to-earth and just how-it-is real. I have been a musician for almost thirty years, and I can tell you honestly, if you turn this up really loud, this is exactly what this band would have sounded like in 1977 if they would have set-up their equipment and played this set in your living room.
