Free Music Notes for Let There Be Rock (Dlx)Free Music Review: YES!!! This is it! Hit: 5 Stars
So, is this the best AC/DC album? Hmmm...a hard claim to make...but out of all their albums, I think this is easily the rawest, most kick-ass album they ever did. And this is precisely why you must have this album. I love the polished, poppier side of the band like Highway to Hell and parts of Back in Black too. But Let There Be Rock ALWAYS leaves my balls black and blue, and screaming for more! Guitar players, BUY THIS ALBUM if you haven't already. The tone is killer! Listen to the guitar solos in "Whole Lotta Rosie"!
Free Music Review: Let There Be Rock Hit: 5 Stars
Song for song, this album may not be quite as strong as 1979's "Highway To Hell", but "Let There Be Rock" was still the best record AC/DC had made up to that point. It wasn't a big hit at the time, but several of the eight songs have gone on to become classics - most spectacularly "Whole Lotta Rosie", which isn't just an AC/DC classic, but one of the instantly recognizable classics of hard rock in general.
"Let There Be Rock" also sports the title track "Bad Boy Boogie", and "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be".
Free Music Review: One of the greatest rock albums ever Hit: 5 Stars
Released while AC/DC was in their prime, this album is flawless. Some of the better moments are Dog Eat Dog, with its comical lyrics, the title track, which is one of AC/DC's greatest songs of all time, and Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be, which has a High Voltage type sound. There really isn't anything to complain about here, definitely a classic hard rock album. From start to finish there isn't a boring moment or an unlikeable song to be found. Well worth your money, belongs in any real music fan's collection.
Free Music Review: LOUD! Hit: 5 Stars
this is one of the most "in your face", live sounding rock n roll records ever made! i love every song on this album, every song from the bon scott era for that matter. but "let there be rock" just sounds like they plugged in in a large room and just cranked everything all the way up.
i've heard live versions of most of these songs and the studio record has as much energy as one of their live shows!
truly one of the greatest rock groups ever!!!
Free Music Review: Best Album Ever Hit: 5 Stars
Every single song in this album taps the deepest vein of raunchy, fun, dirty, low-down, bad-boy blues. Not only is this (in my opinion) AC/DC's best album ever, it may be the single best album ever produced. Trapped on a desert island - pick this as your one album. Every song is 10 out of 10. No matter who you are or how you see yourself, it makes you want to sneer and throw your fist up and give life a big middle finger, while screaming "is that all you got?"
