Free Music Notes for Oh AaronFree Music Review: Aaron Carter is very talented! Hit: 5 Stars
Just to let y'all know: I am an 18-year-old girl who loves pop, R&B, rap, hard metal rock, alternative rock, rock 'n' roll, Latin, hip-hop, soul, jazz...and more! Now that I've cleared that up, I have to say that 'Oh Aaron' is a great CD! I don't understand why people are dissing Aaron so much--did they even listen to the same CD I did? Perhaps they are dissing Aaron because they think the only reason why AC got a record deal was because he's Nick Carter's younger brother, which is only partly true, but not the total truth because Aaron does have talent...no, really! I mean, someone wouldn't give a record deal to just ANYBODY because they were the brother/sister of somebody famous! There has to be some talent there. You can tell that on 'Oh Aaron', he does more rapping and less singing...there is only actually one real ballad on this album. I have all three of Aaron Carter's albums and this is his best one so far. 'Aaron Carter' (his self-titled 1997 album) is probably the weakest one, but it is still fun to listen to. And 'Aaron's Party (Come Get It)' is his second best album. But anyway, here are the featured tracks on 'Oh Aaron': "Oh Aaron"--this song is pretty cool, and the first single off 'Oh Aaron'. Though it kind of gets boring after a while. This song is about Aaron asking Nick for 3,003 tickets to a Backstreet Boys concert...but Nick telling him that he can't give him that many tickets. [This song features Nick Carter and the new girl group, No Secrets] 4/5 stars "Not Too Young, Not Too Old"--this song is one of the best songs on this whole CD! It's got a very cool beat and fun lyrics. It's about Aaron telling Nick that he's not too young for girls, but not too old to get into trouble or to grow up. [This song features Nick Carter] 5/5 stars "Stride (Jump On The Fizzy)--this song is pretty cool, with a catchy beat and tune. This song is about how Aaron will "never break his stride" and that he will always be proud of himself for who he is or something like that. [This song features the new girl group No Secrets] 4/5 stars "Come Follow Me"--this is a very good song and it's extremely catchy and upbeat. In this song, Aaron wants you to follow him and his friends to a party or something. 5/5 stars "I Would"--this is a pretty okay song. It's upbeat and it's about Aaron telling a girl he'd do anything for her. It is a pretty cute song. 3/5 stars "Baby It's You"--this is one of the album's best tracks! It's very upbeat and fast. I think it's a remake to some oldies song but I can't remember. In this song, Aaron tells a girl that he likes her, and even though he is shy, he knows what he wants. 5/5 stars "I'm All About You"--the only real ballad on this CD. On this song, Aaron proves that he can sing and not just rap. This song is about Aaron telling a girl that she's all he needs and she means everything to him. It is really a sweet song. 5/5 stars "The Kid In You"--this is a fun song about Aaron saying that no matter how old he gets, he will always be a kid and he tells kids that they should not forget about what it's like to be a kid, too. Nice beat and lyrics. 4/5 stars "Hey You"--this song is okay, but it's not one of the better tracks. On this song, Aaron raps about liking a girl, I think...I don't really listen to this song a lot so I'm not exactly sure. It's actually kind of confusing. 3/5 stars "Cowgirl (Lil' Mama)--I don't understand why everybody hates this song so much. I think it's a cute song! Aaron is telling a story about meeting the girl of his dreams (a cowgirl) in Texas where he is going to do a show. He then goes on saying that she disappears and he can't find her so he's really down. Finally, at the show, she happens to be there and he pulls her up on stage and sings to her. The beat is awesome and the lyrics are fun. Aaron sounds great on this song! 5/5 stars *Bonus*--the bonus track is just Aaron talking. He tells you that he's really proud of his new album and he hopes you like it. Then, he talks about his new music from the soundtrack, 'Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius' and gives a short snipet of one of his new songs, "AC's Alien Nation". But it's still great to hear Aaron's voice! ~NO RATING~ So that basically sums up this album. I hope you will give this album a chance before you start judging it because it is a great album. It may not earn any Grammys, but it is a fun album to listen to with your friends or even alone. It is a relaxing album, and I don't understand why everybody claims Aaron doesn't have any talent when he really does. Sure, he doesn't write any of his music or plays any instruments, but so what? Aaron's music is positive. He doesn't swear, say negative things, talk about drugs or sex, etc. He is a great role model for all kids and I wish him all the best of success! ~Thanks, hope this review helps!~
Oh Aaron Poster2001 album with one bonus track not on US version 'Get Up On Ya Feet' plus bonus CD- Rom with 7 tracks 'Leave It Up To Me' (from Jimmy Neutron O.S.T.), 'Leave It Up To Me', 'Not too Young, Not Too Old', 'Oh Aaron', 'I'm All About You', Aaron Carter interview with Nick Carter (video) & behind the scenes of 'I'm All About You'. 2 jewel cases housed in a slipcase. Soon to bust out of middle school, Aaron Carter chirpily boasts "I'm all grown up now" and implores "Come and show me body." Despite that, this star among the Nickelodeon set is still more Fresh Prince than Prince; Oh Aaron will give skittish parents little to worry about. (This would-be mack still lives with his folks, after all.) Further looking to demonstrate his maturity, Carter's handlers also supply him with "The Kid in You," a brand-name-laden pledge that he'll never forget how to have fun, even while raising his own family 'n' stuff. That lesson is supplemented by the title track, which finds Aaron promising too many friends tickets to see brother Nick with the Backstreet Boys. All's well that ends well, though, with Aaron winding up as the opening act and Nick guesting here. Note: the bonus track is simply an ad for an Aaron Carter video/DVD collection. --Rickey Wright
