Free Music Notes for When the Kite String PopsFree Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 StarsIt's hard to choose which Acid Bath album is better. They have similarities, yet differ from each other. They're also both equally as good, something you can't say about most bands these days. It's also hard to put a label on their music-it's metal for sure, but a different kind; one that wasn't attempted before them, and one that hasn't been attempted since their demise. These guys infuse death metal, swamp rock grooves, punk(and NOT cheesy frat boy pop-punk), psychedelia, and even some acoustic styles all in one tight package. Each player brought something special to this group, but most noticeable is Dax's awesome ability to write some awesome songs and furnish extremely beautiful and, at the same time, sick vocals. And contrary to some previous reviews, he doesn't sound like the singer from Creed(trust me and other AB fans on that one). Check this band out if you haven't yet. It'll be WELL worth your money and time spent.Check out Dax's post-Acid Bath bands, Agents of Oblivion and Deadboy & the Elephantmen.
Free Music Review: Awesome Hit: 5 StarsAcis Bath is awesome, this was there first cd and i like it better than Pagean Terrorism Tactics. I dont own PTT but ive listen to all of it and i like it alot but this is better in my opinion. There is fast parts and mellow parts and both parts rule. Mellow songs are Scream Of The Butterfly and Bones Of Baby Dolls and the rest of them are fast and heavy. I cant pick a best or worse song cause i love all of them.
Free Music Review: Revision of earlier statement... Hit: 5 StarsI said Sammy did "most" of the hardcore vocals... I meant to say "a lot"... oops... heh heh.
Free Music Review: You Just Don't Know Hit: 5 StarsThis album... well, you know.Something most of are forgetting (or just don't know)... Sammy does most of the hardcore vocals. I was fortunate enough to see Acid Bath live in Shreveport, La. (One of their very last shows... I consider myself blessed).
Free Music Review: Untouchable Hit: 5 StarsThis cd is perfection. There is no other way to describe it. The lyrics are insightful, moody, twisted and sometimes downright deranged. The poetry and construction of the lyrics is something that should be framed in a gallery. All the songs on this cd are fantastic, my favorites are "Tranquilized", "Scream of the Butterfly", "Jezebel", "God Machine", "What Color is Death", and "Bones of Baby Dolls". Buy this cd now. NOW. You will never regret it, one of the soundest investments ever.Sedated and lazy, cold skys full of blue.....
