First of all,... There is not a bigger Beatle music fan than me.
In 1964 I was there.
This album (the artists) pay the Beatles nothing less than complete reverence and respect for and with the quality of their renditions of each and every song.
I would give this album ten stars ! Forget all the reviews that say this,that, and nothing. Listen to the MUSIC (and the words of course).

Hit: 5 Stars If you are a Beatles fan this movie is a must see. They start several songs off a cappella which highlights the Beatles melodic talents as well as the singers talents. Most of the arrangements are similar to the Beatles and some are original. The singing and sound quality are excellent. Even tho the movie is long I didn't want it to end. Very clever use of the songs in weaving a story that one would not expect. This movie was a joy for me and my wife.

My mother picked up this album first and she said it right: "Oh, my God. It's beautiful... it's poetry." I agree. Each song is better than the next and it plays like a journey. I put it on my iPhone and just strolled in the park. You'll dance, you'll cry -it's better than Cats. And yes, get the Deluxe Edition for a dollar more. P.S. Across the Universe is my favorite movie, mostly for the music, but also for the plot and characters. Of course I could not resist buying the CD. I also have the special edition. All of the songs on the soundtrack do justice to the Beatles and their brilliance. They're fresh, well arranged, and well sung. This cd is just incredible. If you saw the movie you, you must have it. If you haven't seen the movie, why are you reading this review when you should be out buying tickets? There is another soundtrack that has more songs that you should definitely consider, but this has the main ones. A win no matter what you choose.
