Many people think this is the worst adema's album. All because Luke changed the style of the band with his voice. If you guys stop thinking about old adema with Chavez, you would see how good this cd is. Unique songs, very pleasant to be heard.Free Music Review: Get away from Nu-Metal, congrats

This is just simple, regular, GOOD rock. In fact, when I got it I was astonished by the different sound. While Old Adema was good FOR THE TIME, this is much better. Most people wont agree because they like rap rock and like the Korn, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit sound. I personally, with the exception of LP, don't. Adema goes from sounding like a Korn, LP, Deftones mix, to sounding like straight up rock.
New singers voice is very good and while it doesnt fix old Adema AT ALL, it is very good. VERY GOOD. Old Adema ALWAYS had tracks that were the most annoying songs out there at the time mixed in with their solid tracks. Gone is the rap/metal, in is better singing (sorry for old the Old Adema fans) and straight up rock.
This will NOT be for everyone, especially HARDCORE old Adema fans, but pick it up if you arent familiar with Adema, or want to hear something different and better. IF you like Old Adema, hey, your not alone, but listen to this CD as if it were another band and you will enjoy it 50 times more.

Bands in the past have done fine pulling off a change of singers...Adema is not one of them. I loved their first few releases, and this one is not half bad...it's just not Adema. If they announced a breakup and started a new band with this new singer I would probably really dig this album. However,I bought this album expecting Adema and got a completely different CD. This album has a cool and interesting sound...but it sounds nothing like Adema. Free Music Review: Amazing But....

This album really is very very good. I was apprehensive to buy it knowing that the lead singer had changed. Being a huge fan of the first 3 Adema albums *including the Insomniac's Dream LP* I didn't think I could like Adema without Chavez. But then I heard the 4th track on the album 'Sevenfold' and I was astounded at how good they were. I immediately went and purchased the album. The new vocalist has some amazing talent and the whole album has a very rock/metal feel to it as opposed to the more punk/grunge/metal feel that the older albums had. I highly reccomend this album because I enjoy it a lot, it still makes it into my regular rotation of CDs in my car and that says a lot seeing as I have a collection of 900 or so. The only negative thing I have to say about this is that it doesn't sound like Adema and when I listen to them my first initial thought is 'they should have changed their name' not 'wow this is a great album' I think that bands should changed their names when they get a new lead singer or a new lead guitarist...just because that changes their entire sound. I have to admit I wasn't thrilled to find out that this album wasn't the Old Adema - Marky Chavez. But their first album was so amazing I figured there had to me more to them than just their lead singer. So I bought the album anyway, and kept telling myself not to expect Adema.
The first time through I heard some promise, but was very disappointed with some of the vocals. Now that i've had a chance to adjust to the change, I actually really like the album. Most of the songs are good to quite good, and a couple are very good (Tornado & Better Living Through Chemistry).
They probably should have changed their name - they are a totally different band - but if they had I never would have bought the album. So in the end, i'm better off because they didn't!
If you're willing to try something new, I recomend this Album. If you're only looking for Chavez, google "Midnight Panic".
