Free Music Review: Rage Against The Machine vs Audio Slave
Hit: 1 Stars

The first thing I thought when I listened to Planets was "This isnt Adema!" And it's true.

This is the first album they've released with their new singer. I don't know what the reasons were for the replacement but it was a huge mistake. This album is a travesty. There isn't a single song worth the CD it's been stamped on.

The monumental failure on the bands part was completely changing their sound and not their name. It's comparable to when Zack de la Rocha left Rage Against the Machine and the rest of the band changed their name to Audio Slave before picking up a new lead singer. They new their sound would be drastically different and they wanted to make a name for themselves, not relying on the popularity of Rage Against of the Machine and tricking their old fans into thinking they were getting the same product.

This is exactly what Adema has done.

If you liked old Adema you will not like this. At first I was in shock over the new sound, but I figured I had better give it a chance, maybe the new sound would be a good one. Such is not the case. They sound much more 'mainstream' I suppose. Much more 'Audio Slave'. But the simple fact is they are no longer the Adema you've come to love over the years.

Fans of the old Adema should avoid this album like Ebola. As much as I hate to say it, Adema is dead. This is some other band trying to leech off their success. And we are very pissed off about it.

Free Music Review: Good Enough To Overcome Preconceived Notions
Hit: 4 Stars

First of all, like most, I was shocked to find out that this was not Adema. They should have renamed the band, flat out. The mere fact that this was a posing Adema nearly cost them my purchase. However, curiosity and a few good online reviews swayed my decision and I picked it up. At first it was a little hard to process, but all in all, this is a good album. Once you get past the new line-up, the music speaks for itself. This is definately a good new band. For Adema faithfuls, you will just have to take the leap for yourself. This album is VERY diverse. At times it seems scattered, in a lack-of-direction sort of way, but you could also call it being aggressive in a broad, experimental sort of way. Much like a new band trying to find their sound or niche, if you will. This collection of songs is very solid. It flows pretty smoothly in transition from track to track, even though the speed may be completely different. Honestly, there are very few fast-forward tracks. There are plenty of songs to go around, with various styles to suit a wide varay. Some of the sound is harder than that of the old Adema, but the vocals are more tamed. Try it out before you discount it like I nearly did. You will be surprised, but you have to go into it open-minded. Definately a very good rock album!

Free Music Review: ADEMA!!!!!!!!UNSTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLANETS.........:(
Hit: 2 Stars

I was not mad like some people when this cd came out I was just extremly dissapointed. I was not aware that they had a new singer untill I bought the cd. I wish they would of changed the name to EDEMA of something so it wuldnt had fooled me into buying it. I really liked the Adema hits like Everyone, Giving In, Freaking Out, The way you like it, skin, Codependant, Unstable, Promises, Stand Up, So fortunate, and needles. but this new "planets" stuff is a discrace and many people didnt notice but not just chavez left also one of the guitarists left because now they only have 4 membors and only 1 was replaced. Any way Im not a kid im 16 i just dont have an acount peace out and Chavez keep rocking on without adema if u haf to.........

Free Music Review: New, intriguing, and flat out awesome.
Hit: 4 Stars

Adema may have gotten a new lead singer and possibly a new sound, but the music hasn't faltered. They still seem incredibly focused on it and I was completely blown away by it. When I saw the CD sitting on the shelves, I was a little hesitant to buy it once I realized that they had lost members. But... it was Adema and I couldn't refuse myself. Listening to it, there is a distinct difference, but it doesn't tear away from the awesome lyrics, vocals, and music put together by this incredible band.

There are so many songs on this CD that I could not get out of my head once I started listening to it. For a couple of weeks, this was all that I could listen to. Their songs are catchy, energetic, insightful, and things I could easily relate to. Of course, nothing is perfect and this CD does have its flaws. Personally, the song "Bad Triangle" with Rio Life just... isn't something I enjoy listening to. I love Adema on their own; I don't need a rapper-thing trying to lend their talents. The band alone is talented enough... that, and I'm just not a fan of rap, period.

With this CD, the band decided on many different angles for their songs and many worked beautifully for them. I am in complete awe of their ability, not just talent-wise and music-wise, but with the fact that they could bounce back and just put together an all-around magnificent CD.

Free Music Review: great album
Hit: 4 Stars

A lot of reviews I have read seem to be more concerned with the band name and the lead singer than they are with the music. If you simply listen to it, you can't argue that it's not good. This release is awesome in its own right. You can't listen to it and expect it to sound like previous Adema albums, you can't be biased. This is not the Adema you are used to. With a new singer you have to expect a new direction with the music that is produced, and possibly a differnet sound, which is exactly what happenend. This is a new Adema so deal with it.
