Free Music Notes for PlanetsFree Music Review: Planets Hit: 5 StarsIt's probably one of the best comebacks in music history when a band that only two years prior pumped out the insufferable Unstable suddenly releases to the world an incredible album that not only surpasses their previous work, but makes their peers look empty. Of course Adema's world hasn't been all roses since the album Unstable tanked: their label dropped them, their guitarist and lead singer left them, and their audience drastically reduced in size. Now as a four-piece with new vocalist Luke Caraciolli and signed to independent metal label Earache Records, Adema unleashes Planets, a fourteen track monolith that finds the band exploring as many angles as they possibly can. Tracks like opener Shoot The Arrows and Sevenfold use the band's nu-metal roots in great ways, while elsewhere the title track and Rise Above slow the pace and wax introspective, and in other places the first single Tornado and Vikraphone feed in a punkish energy into Adema's rock core. The band is equally unafraid to delve into a variety of issues: failed relationships, criticism from peers, deceased relatives, Kris Kohls' daughter, modern day medical care, and even the Ultimate Fighting Championship all make the cut as topics for Luke's lyrics, which are above and beyond the work of previous vocalist Marky Chavez and blow many other hard rock bands out of the water in terms of insight and sincerity. To top it all off, the band performs a perfect cover of Metallica's classic The Thing That Should Not Be, solos and all. Adema may still not be the greatest band in the world, but with Planets, they are well on their way to becoming one of the best bands in their genre.
Free Music Review: RENAME THE BAND!!!! Hit: 2 Starsthe fact its still called adema is a insult. the new singer definatly doesnt go with this. Adema only has 3 cd's. Adema, Insomniacs dream ep, and unstable.. this is not 1 of them. FANS OF ADEMA BEWARE!! download and listen to sym tracks b4 u atempt to buy this. put a singer of a soft rock band into the instrumentals of adema and u get this $!^)
Free Music Review: Great CD!!!!!!!! Hit: 4 StarsAt first I hated this CD just because it was not Chavez. I hated it because it was not Adema. But I got over it and actually take the CD for what it was. When I actually listened to it, I slightly grew attacted.

Free Music Review: Different. And not bad Hit: 5 StarsThe guitar and the style is the same old Adema, only the voice is a bit different due to the singer change. This singer isnt bad, he shares a similar singing style with Chavez, but his voice isnt as powerful. Chavez also has more direct, forceful lyrics, while the new person tries to be a bit more poetic sometimes (and just sometimes).
Both are good, depending on what you prefer. Personally, i think the new singer's style is more mature, and he defintely has a lot of potential, he just has to be more powerful in his singing, or else it wouldnt match the fast, heavy guitars/melody Adema is famous for.
The first few songs are very good and worth the 5 stars. IMO the best songs are "Shoot the Arrows", "Planets", "Barricades in Time", "Enter the Cage", "Better Living thru Chemistry", and "Remember". They top a lot of the old Adema songs.
If they go slow and focus on making quality songs, then i wouldnt be surprised if they come out better than they were before.
Free Music Review: Not good... Hit: 2 StarsI used to like adema, but since ive heard this cd, I really don't like it at all. It sounds bad. I mean, I give them props for trying, but the voice just doesnt flow with the music. They are all talented and should just go their seperate ways to find something better.
