great band, with some awesome songs on this CD. however, their self-titled debut was a better CD overall. Best tracks: Unstable, co-dependant, blame me, stressing, blame me, and the best on the album: PROMISES. oh, and Kansas-dude; Dry Cell signed to Beyond Control Records back in like 2001 and recorded their debut "Disconnected". Then they got a deal from Warner Brothers in 2002 and ditched Beyond Control for them. After re-recording their album on the WB label, they released a few copies for radio stations, and actually i saw a new one of these selling for 4:50 on www.ebay.com the other day. DC recently decided they didn't like how much WB was changing their sound, and went back to Beyond Control. They are currently re-recording "Disconnected" for the 3rd time.
By the way - they released a promo EP back in 2002 which can also be found on ebay.com, and also go to www.sirenrock.com for three non album DC tracks in MP3. later - slop

Free Music Review: Good approach
Hit: 4 Stars

Is Unstable worth the buy? Pretty much! Although it doesn't beat Adema's debut album, it still atleast delivers their unique sound. Especially now, they've gone through a different approach to the way they sound. Although if you signed up for the mailing list off the official Adema site, you'd receive an e-mail about a bonus DVD that comes with the CD...which in this case...there was no DVD. What's up with that? Is that only in the U.S.?

Free Music Review: untitled
Hit: 5 Stars

I'll disregard what most of the people have said about this album in a neg. way. I've been a fan of Adema since way back. There's maybe one song I'm not too hyped about but I love the CD nonetheless. The lyrics I really admire. And there's maybe two songs on the entire CD which repeat the chorus more then two times or a sentence at the end that repeats more then once.

1. Co-Dependent - Talks about those who fall into society's addiction and for those who have a good life while other's sit back being sick over it. (English: For those who have a good life while their enemies hate to see 'em happy. For those who fall to society's decisions.)

2. Rip The Heart Out Of Me - Talks about being someone's puppet and what it feels like when you can't control your own self anymore. Eh, we've all eventually been there.

3. Stand Up - This song got to me cos of the fact I went through it, and witnessed a friend deal and recover from it. Dirrected towards guys who abuse and what the emotions do to someone who cares towards you but you're too blind to see it. One of the better tracks on the CD.

4. Unstable - The title speaks for its self. Relationship that can't work but lasts based on lust and mixed feelings/emotions.

5. Promises - Favourite track, and it's sad cos I dedicated it to an ex. To those who went out with someone or knew someone who no longer is with them (dead or alive). Broken words that we've all heard before from a significant other or friend/family. Talks about trying but never seemed good enough to them.

6. Blame Me - I dedicate this song to most of the people who grew up with my Mother and me. It basically talks about when people you talk to about certain things (bf/gf or friend) and they take it the wrong way. Or for those who blame their problems and stuff on other people. Good song all together.

7. So Fortunate - I'm guessing this song's dedicated to his son or in dedication to someone who couldn't step up to the bat and take responsibility. I wasn't even aware he had a child but nonetheless, I love the track.

8. Stressin' - Again, the title speaks for itself. Talks about letting all the big/little things get to you. Then believing/realizing the person has let you down.

9. Do You Hear Me - Upbeat for a sad song. I dedicate it to those who I lost in my past. Having a guilty, gruge, etc. against someone close to you for some reason or another and then losing them without saying sorry or saying what you felt. At first I thought it was maybe to one of his parents or wife/gf. Listening to it at 3 AM can make you think weird things. I love the track though.

10. Let Go - Talks about when you realize your life's fine, you got what you honestly need, accepting your flaws and stuff, and that being a human means making mistakes but learning from 'em. Love the lyrics but the beat could've been better.

11. Betray - I love this song. Talks about giving your self to someone who abuses blindly. Seeing someone for who they are when you let go. Dealing with the fact the person isn't coming back after the damage is done.

12. Needles - I had a hard time hearing the words so I looked up the lyrics. It's basically written about a drug addict. Moreso someone addicted to Coke/Heroin. And letting that become you're replacement for living. Tough song, 'specially since more then enough people have had their share of going through it or witnessing it. All in all, good song if you like stuff like Kittie, Old Man's Child, From Autumn To Ashes, Earshot, and Godhead; the screaming I mean.

I wouldn't preach to buy it cos it's not in everyone's taste. But I've been a fan for a long time so I support them. Plus, I adore Mark. It's addicting, really :] All in all, the lyrics if you read and take the time to understand them, are depressing but they speak; it may sound like repeats but I love them. All in all, 8-9/10.

Speaking of Dry Cell, what the hell ever happened to them? I can't find their cd or any news about them anywhere. Did they part ways?

Free Music Review: Good cd, dont expect the same exact ...
Hit: 5 Stars

The lead singer like many people on the planet has life changes and this cd in my opinion , is amazing . For a cd to make me actually feel bad for the singer has never happened till now . I really feel for this guy and i can relate to a few tracks . You cant really expect a good artist to make the same exact songs and sound the same on every cd , then it would just seem somone is just throwing in filler tracks and not taking time on the lyrics . I really feel if you are not looking to be part of a genre and a certain kind of sound and you take this cd for what it offers . you are a true fan . other than that , giving it less stars cause it doesnt have the same aggressive sound as the first cd is just being closed minded or maybe you just aint a fan . I have a new found respect for Adema ...
