Free Music Review: wtf is with u ppl
Hit: 5 Stars

first of all, i saw a lot of reviews for ADEMA's UNSTABLE and i really disagree with them...

these reviews are obviously made by ppl who either don't listen to music to an extent of loving it, ppl who write more reviews than listen to the music (there was a guy who wrote over 500 reviews!) or never even bought the cd

this album is flat out awsome and trust me... i admit the lyrics are "wack" as he says in one of the songs (stand up) but the tune is incredible and even the lyrics in a sense really do offer some life issues

there was a reviewer that said he was shocked that they sang about abuse.. obviously these ppl are young reviewers who own a few albums and have little music experience

i have over 30 albums of rock in 2003 which is a sizable amount
and i love music... listening is like a hobby (and playing cs!!)

someone else said that LET GO was a bad song.. and i actually thoght it was one of the best songs on the cd... songs are meant for u to feel something inside of u and create excitement or sadness or w/e
i may be sounding simplex rite now but most of u readers do want good music rite?

sumone said RIP THE HEART OUT OF Me was the worst song and WTF
thats like the best song in the album!

obviously i have been stating alot of MY opinion but here are the facts

ADEMA has strayed away from their singing style, and music style (they don't rap anymore, they don't muffle up on sound such as in IMMORTAL from insomniac's dream)
this album has decent lyrics
maturity is the key to this album as it has alot of moving songs and relatable lyrics

most importantly... NU-METAL fans shold buy this album as anyone else who buys this will probably write a bad review about this album..

note- this album actually has MANY slow songs and few fast songs but if ur looking for a polished sound for ADEMA this is ur chance to find out how much they matured

AND NO DON"T BUY THIS ALBUM CUZ OF KORN KORN'S NU-METAL style nears metal while ADEMA while agressive has nu-metal tunes

honestly i don't think how this review will help u=) but i'm just saying that this album DOES NOT SUCK it is one of the greatest and moving albums i own

i listen to diff genres and i love EVERY band i listen to which is a bad thing for many

i even think limp bizkit's RESULTS MAY VARY is a great album... but u c there is a difference between amazing and celebrity-level

adema is between celebrity and amazing cuz they have EXTREME talent with this album alone (i personally thought the first album was stupid with the exception of a few songs)

Free Music Review: ...unstable...
Hit: 3 Stars

Adema has caused quite a stir in the Nu-Metal world, often times not for their music, but for the simple fact lead singer Mark Chavez is the half-brother of Nu-Metal pioner and Korn vocalist, Jonathan Davis. I got into Adema after hearing "Giving In" a year or so ago and only after buying their debut did I realize their relation. "That explains a few thing," was basically what I thought.

Adema's sound can be compared to many bands, but the band it resembles most but doesn't even touch is Korn's. Mark's voice often resembles Jon's and the hard, down-tuned heavy music greatly resemble's Korn's. Adema, if you ask me, is basically a mediocre Korn.

But, hey, if you're going to sound exactly like another band, whether you're trying to or not (I personally think Adema are NOT trying to, but Mark's voice and his expierence with Jon probably reflects in the music, thus creating the similarities), it might as well be Korn. Even a mediocre Korn could kick a lot of band's asses.

The lyrics on this album are not too good, as they have been in the past. They're kind of immature, and they need some work. However, the music can kick some ass at times. Great bass, some solid guitar riffs and a pretty good drummer make the music section an entertaining expierence. Mark's vocals, as I said before, resemble Jon Davis's, but are less emotional and at times whiny. However, the lyrics nor the vocals bring down the band too much.

This album has it's share of heavy tracks and it's share on emotional tracks. The track "Needles" surprised with it's heaviness. No, it's not the heaviest thing I've ever heard, but pretty damn heavy for Adema. Then there's tracks like "Promises" which can be beautiful at some points. Even though none of these tracks are groundbreaking or very original, you can find enlightenment in each of them.

I suggest checking out Adema if you're a big fan of Nu-Metal or like Korn. Just do it!

Free Music Review: One of my Favorites
Hit: 5 Stars

I never bought the original Adema CD, I just couldn't get into many of the songs, so I downloaded the ones I liked. However, after hearing Stressin' Out, I knew I had to own this CD. From beginning to end "Unstable" is definitely one of the greatest albums I now own. Mark Chavez' rough, trademarked singing has definitely improved from the last album, as have the lyrics. A lot of music nowadays doesn't give me chills up my spine from the lyrics and music combined. But the combination of heavy chords and powerful lyrics that anyone can relate to (love, hate, friendship, stress, and more) gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Some tracks did shock me, like Stand Up, but in a very good way. The band is writing about issues that, as far as I've seen, nobody has written about yet, and that's a very brave thing to do in such an Unstable world (... aha!). All in all, this CD is a must buy, but only if you are very open minded about real-life issues and don't live in a fantasy world where everything is perfect.

Free Music Review: An Honest Review
Hit: 2 Stars

I don't see how anyone could give this CD 5 stars. It had good melodies and hooks, but the lyrics were juvenile and just awful. I listened to it and thought "This song sounds great, it's too bad the lyrics are almost laughable." I dare anyone to tell me that "Let Go" isn't one of the worst professional songs you've ever heard.

Free Music Review: Unstable indeed.
Hit: 2 Stars

Adema really do deserve some credit here. 'Unstable' is an honest attempt on the band's part to step out of Korn's shadow and to cement a sound of their own. However, the band's utter lack of creativity and talent severely drag this disc down. Songs like 'Co-Dependent' and the title-track are decent, catchy little nu-metal songs that fit in with just about everything else out there, while the rest of the disc seems like pure sludge. 'Stand-up,' a tirade against domestic abuse (oh here we go again) builds on a tired theme and contains the weakest lyrics of the entire album. Other songs like 'So Fortunate' and 'Promises' have the band hoping to break into modern-rock ballad territory, or maybe they're just trying to be Staind, it's hard to tell. What I can tell you though is that the band hasn't grown much musically. Yes, the drive is there. You know they want to be something better, but it's going to take a lot of work. I believe there are good intentions behind this CD, and for that, I can't trash it too much. Hopefully the third release it will be much more worthwhile. But as it stands, the only interesting part of this package is the DVD that contains Adema's limited videography and a brief "behind the scenes" segment. I think CD's like this are one of the top reasons music piracy is so prominent.
