i bought this on a whim when it first came out, but didnt really play alot of it...it really got ignored because i was too busy tryin to build up my jazz collection at the time! i forgot i even owned it, but had rediscovered it last summer when i was clearing out some space in my cd racks and have been playin it at least once a week (a major thing!) ever since then...this is great date music or music to just sit back and relax to...soothin...mosta yall gonna feel this...Free Music Review: Afronaut

Got this album when it was released back in '97 and there haven't been many better. Heard her sing live on Kiss FM in the UK and I was instantly hooked. Her voice is so seductive and the album has a variety of styles (even coming close to a Lovers Rock tune with "Say you won't") to hold you. Like Davina who was also on Loud here is another talent who received rave reviews on the UK side of the pond and just didn't get the recognition that she deserves on either side. She even appeared at the North Sea Jazz festival in '97 and was well received. Perhaps it was the Jazzy influences which shouldn't detract from the fact that it is a quality piece of music good enough for any CD player.Would love to know what she is doing now as she is long overdue a sophomore and someone should be picking her up and marketing her in the right way.

Amazing...Incredible...Flawless--These are the only words I can think of that come even close to describing the quality and impact of this cd. Adriana Evans is unbelieveably talented. She has the influence of the past with the sweet voice of the present. It's been a while since I have heard a style of singing and composing like hers. Her songs are so poetic and meaningful. It is such a breath of fresh air compared to the tired and formulaic R&B being played all over the radio these days. Every song on this cd is wonderful, and deeply personal. I am continually amazed at how much I continue to get out of this cd each time I listen to it. Her bright personality shines through on tracks such as "Hey Brother & Seein is Believing". Although I love every single song on this album, if I had to pick my favorite I would just say "the whole CD". Basically I could go on and on about this cd, but all I can tell you is that you really should experience it for yourself! It's amazing you don't hear it more across the airwaves! I bought this at Tower Records way back in '97 without ever hearing of her, but I listened to the CD at the listening station and grabbed it off the shelf...since then it's been a mainstay in my CD players! You can't ignore this dynamic and sultry songstress!! People who listen to it for the first time always ask, 'Hey, whose that?' 'Wow, I really like this!' and so on...Why hasn't she been given her due rewards????
