Free Music Review: Good fun even if you don't understand a word of French

From the very first track, "Pourquoi", it is clear that Adrienne Pauly has given us a very accomplished album.
One gets the impression that these songs would work very well in a live situation and her band (on electric guitars, piano, bass and percussion) could easily reproduce this music in front of an audience - in other words, the studio trickery is kept to a minimum.
My favourite track is J'veux un mec [track 5] which features electronic organ and electric guitar and rocks along in a very sexy French way. She sounds a little angry in this track!
Most of the songs on this album have a little bit of anger in them and quite a lot of musical grit. Adrienne Pauly is a stylish singer and she displays a lot of emotion on this album. The perfect antidote to Norah Jones!
