This is an eclectic collection of alternative folk but mainsteam enough to be great. A lot of the songs are written by the artist and the vocals are great. I really enjoy all of Adrienne Young's music. If you like something different, I don't hesitate to recommend this upcoming artist.

Some of these songs are pure excellence! Young's arrangement and performance of traditional tunes is fantastic- good for a big fun family dance party. The original songs are eneven: Plow to the End of the Row is really good, but Home Remedy is sappy and gets old fast. A couple of political songs are well written and performed, but annoying in their suprficial treatment of complicated issues (or maybe I just disagree with her!). I bought this after hearing Leather Breaches on the radio and thought I would get a great old-time music album. What I got was a good folk album with some strong old time influence. If that's what you're after and you agree with her politics (she is admirably spunky) you will love this. If your looking for good old-time music you'll get about three excellent songs here and some filler.Free Music Review: You'll be skipping over the furrows with this band

Wow! what a great band. Heard "Wedding Ring" on XM Radio and promptly purchased both Plow... and The Art of Virtue. An easy way to raise one's spirits, put a smile on your face and want to dance. (And, that's just the music, before you listen to the thoughtful lyrics). Anxiously awaiting any music they produce in the future. Get both of these albums; all the tracks are exceptional!! Thank you Adrienne Young and Little Sadie for such fine music.
