Free Music Notes for O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith HitsFree Music Review: Aerosmith's Biggest Ones Hit: 5 Stars
This is an update and revision of AEROSMITH'S GREATEST HITS and BIG ONES. But it lacks "Come Together",the Lennon-McCartney classic from the movie "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" which would be subsequently covered by Michael Jackson. Also,"Eat The Rich" from GET A GRIP,but it's on BIG ONES. "Blind Man",an original BIG ONES track, was also a hit but does not appear in this collection. "Mama Kin",the band's first hit, would later be covered in a live performance by Guns 'N Roses on GNR's "G 'N R Lies" album. "Deuces Are Wild" was originally intended for 1989's PUMP. But it appeared four years later on the BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD EXPERIENCE,a various artists album. But on this album, like BIG ONES,B&B's spoken vocals are not heard. "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" is from the "Armegeddon" movie soundtrack(from 1998). There are two original tracks,"Lay It Down" and "Girls Of Summer". There are two versions of "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's own from 1975 and Run DMC's from eleven years later, with support from Aerosmith members Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. Aerosmith are not called America's greatest Rock 'n Roll band for nothing.
Free Music Review: Aerosmith proves they are Forever Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, I truly expected this album to have a few new hits. But I didnt see this coming. "Girls of Summer" is a classic and "Lay it Down" is truly original Aerosmith and will be the biggest hit they have had since the Dodge commercial driven tune "Just Push Play". Aerosmith now clearly possesses more talent than the Rolling Stones ever could.Having blockbuster hits in the 70's, 80's, 90's and now the 21st century it is clear they just might have that thing known as staying power to be reckoned with. And considering they have now sold over 130 million albums worldwide they could be considered a band that makes good music. Hmmmmm... makes you wonder! For anyone who truly wants a Great Aerosmith Album, here it is... so guess what!.... Buy it!! Now I cant wait for the massive box set in 2005 of all of their unreleased material which is rumored to be around 25 cd's from B sides to live performances. That baby I will buy on day one no matter what the cost! And as always.... Sorry Stones.. AEROSMITH IS SIMPLY THE BEST! Now if only I could get Aerosmith to play a gig at my home I could truly die a happy man!!
Free Music Review: Expecting An Average Greatest Hits Collection? Dream On! Hit: 5 Stars
After what seems like dozens of cheap greatest hits collections, the people at Columbia and Geffen still feel that they should release another Aerosmith best off. Fortunately, this time it proved to be a good move, as "O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits" collects all their best numbers on two rocking discs.
Here is the only collection where you'll find all their best and most popular songs, including "Dream On", "Walk This Way" (classic riff), "Sweet Emotion", "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)", "Angel", "Rag Doll", "Love In An Elevator", "Janie's Got A Gun", "Livin' On The Edge" and if I keep going I'll probably name the whole cd.
What's even nicer is that they included some great material not "Big One" or "Young Lust: The Aerosmith Anthology". It's especially nice to have "Seasons Of Wither" included, since many fans complained about it not being on "Young Lust". Also, later smash hits "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and "Jaded finally make their way onto a hits cd, and they're welcome.
Overall, go out and pick up this cd and get ready to rock out!
Free Music Review: Awesome ... BUT ... Missing many hits Hit: 5 Stars
This is an incredible compilation. Probably the best one of Aerosmith's MANY. Its a little weird having two versions of "Walk This Way". I think ones enough. The "Toys In The Attic" version is the only one that should be included. Maybe the Run DMC version should be replaced by one of the many following forgotten hits:"Train Kept A Rollin'" "Toys In The Attic" "Rats In The Cellar" "Kings And Queens" "Come Together" "Chip Away The Stone" "Remember (Walking In The Sand)" "Lightning Strikes" "Let The Music Do The Talking" "Eat The Rich" "Blind Man" "Walk On Water" "Hole In My Soul" "Angel's Eye" "Fly Away From Here" "Big Ten-Inch Record" shouldnt have been included either. The song isnt that great. And then there are the songs that are awesome that havent even really been on the radio. songs like: "Somebody" "Woman Of The World" "S.O.S. (Too Bad)" "No More No More" "You See Me Crying" "Get The Lead Out" And SO many others. Well, overall its a great CD.
Free Music Review: O, Yeah! Aerosmith Is Amazing! Hit: 5 Stars
"O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits" is a two-disc compilation of their greatest hits from 1973-2002. This compiles every reason that Aerosmith is still one of the best rock bands around. Their combination of hard rock and blues offer some of the most unique rock sounds recorded. Steven Tyler's voice never loses his powerful touch on any track. On this album, they present how they've evolved greatly as musicians and songwriters (Steven Tyler and lead guitarist Joe Perry) from "Dream On" to "Jaded". Their provocative lyrics are always as hardhitting as the next. They offer a tour of their life trials and turns during their almost thirty years of fame. Their newly recorded track 'Girls of Summer" prove that they still have that magical spark that captivates an audience. This compilation is important material for any Aerosmith fan. Every track will keep many entertained for a long time. Aerosmith proves on this album that they are nowhere close to the end.
