Free Music Review: can't help comparing with Decipher
Hit: 2 Stars

I was so disappointed about the vocals I really could not divide my attention on the musicianship on this album. As most of the core AF fans complain about this album, the magical and technically near to perfection vocals of Floor sound somehow strained and restrained and does not give the familiar AF touch that thrilled most of the fans on Decipher. Still the vocals are not entirely bad, Floor being Floor, although sometimes they consist of evil witchy vocals which lack Floor's superior vocal talents. There even were places when she sounds like Amy Lee. After I got over the vocal shock I realized that there were many songs I could not listen until the end because of its dull musics and 13 yrd old lyrics. All in all, of course there will be other people who will like After Forever as it is on its new (?) musical path, but for the ones who got lost in Decipher's irrepeatable aura, this album surely does not give what's expected of After Forever. If it was another band this album may even be worth 4stars, but I regret to be giving it a mere 2star here because you always expect so much from After Forever which are rarely met on this album.

Free Music Review: Horrible.
Hit: 1 Stars

This album is really disappointing.

First of all, the album concept is completely cliche. It's almost as if the band members couldnt think of anything better so all decided to pick a stupid album concept out of a hat. It definitely is off-setting.

Second of all, Floor's vocals couldn't be more ridiculous. She sings almost the exact same note throughout the whole damn CD. It's like shes trying to make us aware that she's a "wonderful" soprano and that she's extremely gifted to be able to do the note(s) she does. Theres no strength or beauty in her voice, just ego. The listener is unable to find any emotionally connection with in voice.

Third of all, the CD pictures are laughable. It's pretty hard to take the concept of a broken home story seriously when all the band members are dressed in black and turquoise leotards and posing in the most humurous positions possible in every other page of the CD booklet. I swear they just dont want to be taken seriously on this one.

Overall, the whole thing was just ridiculous. The songs weren't good by any means, Floor fell short, the concept was horrible, and the artworks were worth a few laughs.

Don't get this album. You'll regret it.
