There are enough reviews on this collaboration to know that if you are a fan of either artist you should buy this album. The icing on the cake is that you get the incredible inter-play between Jarreau and Benson along with the incredible musicianship of their all-star guests. As an "Al" fan dating back to his work in the 70's it is amazing to still hear that perfect tone and musicality he brings to every song he touches. If there was ever a need for proof that the human voice is a musical instrument, Al Jarreau is Exhibit A. George Benson is no less astounding today as he was in his prime; and proves that he is still one of the masters of jazz guitar. Like most albums, there is a song or two that may not resonate as a favorite, but overall this is great a great addition to any collection.Free Music Review: This album has written "Grammy Awards" all over.

What can I say that others haven't said before this review? Well...if you're really into contemporary jazz (I hate the "smooth jazz" label!) click "add to cart" cause this is the album you've (and me) been waiting for a long a time. Living legends George Benson and Al Jarreau surrounded by an army of outstanding artists (including Sir Paul McCartney) put together, probably, the best album of the year for the genre. Without a trace of a doubt this album will take home most of the Grammys if not all of them. Keep talking about it's simply useless. Go, get it, listen to it and enjoy it for the rest of your life because pairing these two masters in a single album may not happen again.Free Music Review: Two Classy Guys

I can't get enough of this CD! George Benson & Al Jarreau have paired to created a truly exceptional collection of music which is destined to become a classic. George's smooth guitar style blends wonderfully with Al's vocals. The duets are so nice to listen to & my favorites are Summer Breeze, Four & the funky Don't Start No Schtuff. The guest performers are also great; check out Jill Scott on God Bless The Child. George is a wonderful vocalist in his own right & his rendition of All I Am is especially beautiful.
It is so refreshing to see a record company allow established artists like George & Al to produce truly great music!

I've been a fan of both these guys for years but in recent times have felt Al's voice in particular to be not what it once was - Well let me admit my error. This is a superb effort!!! George is still the greatest guitarist out there..sure it ain't straight Jazz - that's it's beauty!
A wonderful hybrid of styles anf for my money 'All that I am' has one of the best vocal performances of George's career (a sweet but moving tune)
The syncopations in 'Don't start no stuff' are sensational.
All up a great set from two of music's real stylists and boundary pushers!!

La combinacion de un guitarrista experimentado con uno de las mejores
interpretes del jazz contemporaneo es una explosion musical llena de energia y atinadas combinaciones. La cancion "Summer breeze" magistramente reeinterpretada es un ejemplo de lo dicho anteriormente. La participacion de Paul Mc. Cartney no creo que ayudo mucho por aquello de "zapatero a su zapato".
