Free Music Notes for All Fly HomeFree Music Review: Classic Jarreau Hit: 5 Stars
This is the first Al Jarreau recording I ever bought way back in the late '70's. In my opinion it's also one of his very best. I'm listening to the CD for inspiration as I write this review. I never get tired of hearing lyrics like, "I wanna be good to you...I wanna bless your kachoo." "Fly" is a flat out swingin', rockin', waltz that'll take you breath away. I've listened to this album many, many times and it's never failed to satisfy.
Free Music Review: Incomparable! Hit: 5 Stars
Just picked this up and, like everything Al does and has ever done, I love it. Definitely has a 70's feel - which I also love. As far as I'm concerned, anything Al does is gold. The only thing about the cd that I don't like is that the sound quality is not stellar - his vocals get lost a little bix in the mixing (old technology). Otherwise, superb. Just saw Al in concert in Durham with George Duke trio. He still has the goods!
Free Music Review: All Fly Home for the ages Hit: 5 Stars
Being introduced to jazz in 1980, Jarreau's music made it very easy to learn the art of listening to jazz. This is a superb choice for new jazz listeners due to Jarreau's easy blend of vocals and progressive jazz tracks. It will be a new found jewel for the veteran listeners who may have missed his early music.
Free Music Review: Buy it again and again Hit: 5 Stars
This All Fly Home is Al Jarreau at his best! I rediscovered it in my record collection a few weeks ago and I wanted to preserve this recording so I repurchased it as a CD. Other recommend Al Jarreau CD's are Glow, We Got By, and Casino Lights. All of them are 5 stars.
