Nothing made me happier than to get the word that Al had a new album coming out UNTIL I listened to it. It is terrific, Jarreau at his best. It was a long dry wait for him to record again. For those who are not acquainted with his music, please buy this and listen. You will be a fan forever. The greatest male jazz voice. Wish there had been more than five stars to give this recording. I was skeptical at first since he's be out of the scene for a minute. But, I went to the record store, popped it in the CD Player and all I can say is UM, UM, UM. I played the beginning of the first three cuts plus it was recommended to me to play #9 with Vanessa Williams. I bought it immediately and haven't stopped playing it since. I have been a jazz enthusiast since I was 15. My first introduction to a contemporary jazz vocalist was Al Jarreau's "We Got By." His vocal range is extraordinary and his sound exemplary and unique. I am trying to enjoy the mellow music of Al Jarreau. It relaxes my nerves. My mom wants to watch t.v. and I want to listen to Al Jarreau. The volume is down when there are commercials so I can enjoy the music. She listens to the t.v. loud. Yikes!! bye, margarita. Suave listening to Al Jarreau. I love this album! My favorites are in the following order: It's How You Say It, Flame, Just To Be Loved, In My Music. Having been a loyal Al Jarreau fan for more 20 years I highly recommend this CD. Any time you can find a CD with a minimum of six cuts that you really like in todays music scene buy it.
