This CD is a must for serious Al Jarreau fans. Al is back and he has some top musicians along with him. This is my favorite recording since "Breaking Away" He has the same type of groove on this CD. I've seen a lot made of the duet with Vanessa Williams on "God's Gift to the World" but the cut that makes this CD for me is "Something That You Said". Al uses his incredible singing gift and adds some songwriting prowess to take an instrumental song that I already loved and put words to it. If you know "A Remark You Made" off the Weather Report "Heavy Weather" album, you'll know that Al has outdone himself on this song. A must listen, it is absolutely fabulous. Al's other composition, "Flame" is also great. I'm glad Al is back.Free Music Review: The Man Is Awesome!

I bought this cd with a bit of trepidation....i was so surprised.... the music is so fresh and vibrant... once more electic.... this is a wonderful listening experience for a change from AL.Free Music Review: FOREVER AL! 4.75

I join my fellow colleagues in praise of"TomorrowToday". The only reason I didn't give it 5 starsis, because there really is no new material Jarreau fans haven't heard before. I concur with everyone on how brilliant "Just To Be Loved" is! This song would be a hit if some record exec had the "cajones" to release it. "Let Me Love You" is very sensual. "Tomorrow Today" would've been a wonderful addition to the CD "This Time". I would also highlight "Flame", "Something That You Said" and "God's Gift To The World".
If you're a huge Jarreau fan this is a must. If your ears have been asleep all this time, here's your chance to hear some of what you've been missing. Enjoy, Alain

It is very rare in this day to find an artist who can communicate with just plain heartfelt and unabashed passion and unconditional love which irresistably evokes and commands an upbeat spirit of play. In this regard, Al Jarreau is a truly great artist. The album commands your participation and sweeps you away. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Should this latest offering from Jarreau serve as a yardstick by which all future aspiring vocalists judge themselves? I sure hope so. "Tomorrow Today" could certainly wend its way into into the heart and soul of society and be embraced by all people. Why? Because it is great music and because it is genuine.
