Free Music Notes for Precious MemoriesFree Music Review: Pretty Good CD Hit: 4 StarsThe music is good with a mix of traditional church songs and a southern twang. Not too bad. I've heard better, but it is still a blessing.
Free Music Review: Alan Jackson Precious Memories Hit: 5 StarsEXCELLENT!!! Plain, simple, genuine sounding hymns sung like the singer really means them from his heart. Wonderful both just to listen to and also to sing along with. (Excuse the preposition placement.) I listen to it over and over. Thanks Alan Jackson!
Free Music Review: Great unique collection Hit: 5 StarsWonderful recordings of traditional gospel songs. Many of these were sung in my country Methodist church. Unaffected, straightforward presentation that preserves the origins of the songs. My understanding is that Jackson recorded it for his mother, without plans to release it to the public. The collection was shared, traded and took on a life of it's own and was finally released as an afterthought. This could explain the wonderful lack of "producing" on the album. Great purchase.
Free Music Review: If you love the good ole days Hit: 4 StarsAlan Jackson did a great job with these old time church tunes.
That is a trip down memory lane for sure.
