The movie, seemingly without intention, sums up a lot of the cultural angst and confusion that was widespread in the late 1960s and early 1970s. "What's the point of all this? I realy loved this album however I think most reviewers have over looked the lovely ballad "A Million Miles Away Behind the Door" supposedly sung by Jean Seberg but oviously dubbed. None the less it is a very lovely, lovely song by Alan Jay Lerner and Andre Previn and I can listen to it over and over and over.Free Music Review: Paint Your Wagon

....we purchased a used copy that never looked like it was ever in a player. It was also nice to replace the VHS as everything was now on one (1) disc and not two (2) tapes. I actually purchased the CD for one song They Call the Wind Maria. It is such a stirring number and the singer is superb. Having enjoyed the movie, there were other tracks I enjoyed too like Lee Marvin singing Wanderin'Star.
The quality of the CD was excellent and it arrived in good time.

I had ordered the other Paint your wagon CD, and I was sorely dissapointed. It wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped. This CD, however, is amazingly better. It has all of the good songs from the movie like, Gold Fever. I highly reccommend this CD.
