Free Music Notes for Little Shop Of Horrors (1986 Film)Free Music Review: A fabulously frightening and funny soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
This soundtrack to one of the best musical/horror/comedies is lively and upbeat, and is a wonderful souvenir for those who adore the film. For those unfamiliar with 1986's "Little Shop of Horrors", this album is nonetheless a fantastic collection of broadway-style songs, conveying the tale of a meek flower-shop assistant who nurtures a rare species of talking plant until it becomes hungry for blood(!!!). This is a completely tongue-in-cheek modern take on 50's B-movies, with wacky characters belting out these great tunes which boast some of the most outrageous yet ingenious lyrics. The actors Ellen Greene, Rick Moranis, Steve Martin and Levi Stubbs (of the Four Tops, who voices the plant Audrey II) all shine as singers as well. It's all a whole lot of fun, and the musical styles are varied, ranging from honky-tonk to doo-wop to straightforward rock n' roll. For those familiar with the musical stage play, the songs on this album vary slightly; some tunes were not used in the film and therefore do not appear here (no big loss IMHO) and there is an added track "Mean Green Mother From Outerspace" to go with the movie's altered ending. Of all the great movie soundtracks out there, this is a true favourite of mine which never ceases to please. Plant this one in your CD player and watch it grow for you.
Free Music Review: This Movie Rocks the House!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, I've got to admit that "Little Shop of Horrors" has got to be one of the best movies I have seen the 14 years of my life. I mean with the fact that Rick Moranis was the PERFECT person for the lovable Seymour Krelborn, and Ellen Greene was absolutly fabulous with her role of Audrey. The plant however really was one of my favorite characters. I haven't bought the movie or CD, I just know about the movie because I had to watch it in my school. I, personally, think that "Mean Green Mother from Outer Space" was one of the best songs of this movie. "Suddenly, Seymour" could have been better, I just don't know how. I'm in love with this movie so much, I watch scenes of it in my dreams. (Sorry, that was a little cheesy, but it's true!!) I seriously think that people who don't like this movie really haven't even seen the whole thing! Anyway, the lyrics were wonderful, and I do think that this movie has got to be one of the best I have ever seen! So please buy this movie and enjoy it as much and I did! Oh, and remember, don't feed the plants!!

Free Music Review: "Little Shop" was the 80's at its best! Hit: 5 Stars
I LOVE this movie!!! It was all apart of that 80's magic I remember so fondly. The special effects were HOT and Techina Arnold, Tisha Campbell, & the other lady (insert name here) were even HOTTER! All these songs are classics, but my personal favs have to be the ones that are sung by the trio. The Intro & "Some Fun Now" are ones that I remember boppin' my head to while walking to class. "Suppertime" (my absolute fav) just has that dark haunting mood I love so much. You know the feeling you get when you know something bad is about to happen? "Mean Green Mother From Outer Space" is another classic, musically & cinematically! That's when movie climaxes were truly at their BEST! Funny, disturbing, & a damn good time all rolled into one... this version of "Little Shop of Horrors" is more than a classic, its a treasure!
Free Music Review: "...Down on Skid Row"...is where it's at! Hit: 5 Stars
It's not enough that the movie is fantastic, but its soundtrack is even better. (Yes, it's possible.) The "Skid Row Supremes" (Crystal [Tichina Arnold], Ronnette [Michelle Weeks], and Chiffon [Tisha Cambell]) sing us through the tail of Seymour and his plant via the hit songs in the movie. The Prologue is one of the best cuts on the soundtrack, because it is like a I'm-warning-you-to-get-out-of-town song. Another great one would be the tempting Suppertime, where the ladies tempt you to "come on, come on...it's suppertime..." I personally think this soundtrack is better than the Original Cast's release. Hopefully, you will too.
